Impressive today, hope his good form continues.

I still don't think that the Torres of old will ever come back. I do however think that under the careful tutelage of Mourinho we will end up with a player that doesn't end up making us all tear our hair out to the degree that we all have done for the past couple of years.

Ramires out.

Summer I don't think the Torres of old would have worked like did today.

Maybe it's now an upgrade Mr. C.

Summer that shot which he blasted over the bar

i think looking back now, He was surprised the ball came to him and he was expecting the offside flag to go up.

Yeah that was p oop. I thought Cahill should have done better with his one also, haven't seen replays only at the game but it looked like he had time to bring it done and then score.

Yeah Cahill was another one.
John Terry had a chance from a corner where 9/10 he would atleast get it on target. Went completely wide.

Yeah remember that. It was down the other end so I didn't see it so well, but overall I'm pretty chuffed tonight and I don't want to be too hard on our "grade A eggs".

Yeah same here mate. Happy because City have given us nothing in the last few years. Still think there's so much more to come from this team though. Whilst Torres was good today, and so was Schurrle. Oscar and Hazard werent at the races offensively. Cant have it all though.

posted on 27/10/13

I thought Schurrle was the worst cuplrit out of the front four for constantly losing the ball.

Will have to rewatch it again B dog.

City were the one team I feared in this division. They (in recent years looked to have the measure of us) so it's nice to see that we can still have our day against them. They still are a formidable team that pings the ball around though.

Having now measured us directly against them I feel more optimistic about our chances in the League this season.

City haven't been great against us. Tevez had. They no longer have him and although Aguero is good he isn't a bogey player for us.

RTM, didn't they boss us for an hour at Wembley and Tevez was taken off as he was fairly ineffective? Aguero scored that day and also seems to regularly score against us.

I take your point about Tevez on other ocasions though. He did used to dine out on us.

He's not a GREAT score but hes a GREAT offensive player.

if you get what I mean.

*scorer

City have had our number for the last few years and Aguero scores against us at free will. Kind of like what Torres did against us when he was in red. 100m for Aguero maybe?

posted on 27/10/13

hello mr c.

Torres is incredible

posted on 27/10/13

100m for Aguero maybe?
---------------------------
Am I imagining things Mr. C or is the story true that we should have had Aguero for something like 16mill (before City did) but it got fecked up somehow?

His release clause was 38m but his wages of over 200k was a block.

Still we would have rather bought him than Torres.
