Liverpool can't wait to offload if you believe the fans.
However, we are not Liverpool and have to cut our cloth according to our means.
I don't think he's a bad player, and may well flourish amongst our artisans, better than he did in a squad of "superstars"
SWP is the one that I am hoping for
I reckon he could be a very good signing.
Remember, he's in the reserves or on the bench bihind Torres, Suarez, Kuyt, Cole et al.
I think he could be a steal for 4mil, but we may have to give him gametime for a bit without getting on his back to see what he can do.
be nice to get cahill sorted while scott dann is still at brum, cahill to arsenal, and dann to bolton 9mil in the bank
Arsene Wenger has been quoted in the German media saying he doesn't want another centre-back as he's already got four.
I know it's just a newspaper, but make of that what you will. If Cahill goes it will probably be to Liverpool or Spurs
Not sure hes behind Torres
I do think something could happen with Liverpool and Cahill with Ngog being involved..
Not sure on the depth of Liverpools squad, but if we could get a loanee defender as well from them, I'd be pleased.. Martin Kelly springs to mind..
Not lon to September now, so it will be sorted.
But Coyle does not want Cahill turning into an Elmander situation..
MT,
It won't.
If Cahill stays, the second the transfer window slams shut, he will be offered a bumper 1 year contract extension.
Elmander was not offered a contract until he got good, i.e. November, and by that time other clubs started to take note.
I honestly doubt Cahill would reject a contract in early September in a view to a move in January/June. You obviously couldn't blame him, because he'd have a free pick of the top clubs come the summer, as they'd all offer him contracts if he were on a free. Just hope he see's it from the clubs point of view.
If we are to make any money off Cahill, it would be in Jan. I just hope we can finish in Europe this season and that might tempt him to stay.
As for N'Gog, 4 million sounds decent and again it adds another arrow to our bowe in the strikers department.
Tuncay has craft, guile and trickery
Davies is brute strength
Klasnic has a touch of class in front of goal
N'Gog has some pace
Good assessment that... Should have a nice choice depending on the back 4 we are facing..
