Apparently its safe to drink down the Bigg Market these days as they have ripped the heart out of it. Mind they will tell your a foreigner by the number of tops you have on 0 tops local to 10 tops Londoner or Sunderland supporter

I always drink in here when I am in Newcastle. The food is great and it is not too fancy.

The townhall is just up from the station. 5mins. I implore you to give it a go.

Yep, just spoke to a bar-coder and he agrees the TownHall is a cracking pub. Cheers!

Feedback I've had is the townhall is a good pub but wasn't the station were they filmed Get Carter (it was I used to drink in there at the time) or is the wetherspoons a different pub?

Where did the quaint ritual of drinking cheap sherry out of a bottle in s brown paper bag go to?
People just have no class these days !

Aspall Draught cider on tap goes down great after the game.

Hey that Town Hall pub was belting!
Had a few pints of IPA (approx 3.5%) as taking it steady but didn't try the food as there were no tables free.
Grabbed some chips and curry sauce on the way to the ground
Loved the new Fergie/Moyes song!

Got there too late, had to settle for a bottle of Coors in the ground
Will go there when we play them in the league
Is it on a pedestrianised narrow rd?

Yeah it is. Really comes into its own after the mach as it is 5 mins from the train station and they always have plenty bar staff so service is quick.
