I'll post a comment that I made on another thread.
I have no idea what happens to us when we step on the Old Trafford turf. It's absolutely bizarre. I think that Ferguson had Wenger sussed out, it will be interesting now that he is gone. I'm quietly confident.
I still remember Arsenal's performance last season at Old Trafford. The game ended 2-1 but that was one of the worst performances i've ever seen from you guys.
I guess it may have been largely a mental thing and your players will no doubt be more confident now that SAF has retired.
Agreed about the 2-1 game. Arsenal were worse than in the 8-2 game, incredibly, but United weren't clinical. Of course, they played much better at the Emirates, with confidence at a high at that stage. That is a better gauge of what to expect in the upcoming game. United need to go for the win but will need to play much better than they have thus far this season to get it.
I agree. For me, it was even worse than the embarrassing match the year before (I won't mention the score). I can't actually categorise the performance, I don't know what Arsenal were attempting to do. We approached the match as if it was a training routine.
Agreed that they were worse in the 2-1 last season than when they lost 8-2 to us as we were just clinical that day. When you look back, Rooney scored from free-kicks, Ashley Young smashed in two belters [can't remember the last time he's managed that?!]
However, I think their worst performance which is at least par to the 2-1 was the game when we had the following 4 as our midfields. Shocking!

we were honestly scared to play you, and played for a LIGHT defeat.
A truly embarrassing point for our club.
Well I hope seeing as we seem to be regaining our ambition, days like that are behind us.
Moyes has a poor record against Arsene but this utd we're talking about, when we have played utd, we have been tactically out manoeuvred and lacked quality to break utd down. I hope from no on our performances against you will improve.
Yeah Arsenal were awful at OT last season, I remember a quality Anderson cameo full of tricks and flicks
We will see, we don't really have the players to counter attack these days, and Arsenal have played quicker football this season.
Every game is a struggle for us at the moment, and will be for the foreseeable future.
Arsenal aren't very good, only 1 decent player. I expect a comfortable 3 points.

You obviously haven't watched any United games this season, then.
the 2 1 game last season was dire really compared to he 8 2
I had almost forgotten about that FA cup game. Can't believe that midfield was enough to beat Arsenal.
Arsenal will give us a tougher game than they have in recent years, no doubt.
My attempts to WUM some Arsenal fans seems to have failed miserably

They were alwys going to fail with that one. For a good WUM to work you must have an element of truth in it.
Sadly, apart from Swansea away, we realy have not had a comfortable win this season.

True, VC.
It's too early to say at the moment though.
We've got games against Norwich, Fulham and Sociedad to come before Arsenal.
They've got Chelsea, Liverpool and Dortmund.
A good run of results/performances for us and a bad run for them and all of a sudden things aren't looking as rosy for Arsenal compared to if we were to be playing tonight.
I expect us to get nothing there like always. Until we manage to win there again I will be ultra negative about our chances in this game.
Walcott should be fit for that game. So should Flamini.
I expect to see this
........................Szczęsny
.........Sagna Mertesacker Koscielny Gibbs
.....................Flamini.......Ramsey
....................Walcott Ozil Cazorla..................
...........................Giroud.................
