WOBs should be lined up and shot Bolshevik style

Gervinho was a winger/ striker. I was all for selling him providing we bought in a replacement.
We have zero wing play the moment and it's really hurting our team at the moment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you think we should have kept him then? What did he do on the pitch?
Our performance v the bigger teams of recent years has been embarrassing.
Chelsea have now beaten us 3 on the trot and have hardly broken sweat in doing so.
Today's game just bought back to many bad memories. Pass, pass with no end product and then bang get hit on the counter or make a blunder

So, given that we were never going to replace him externally, you'd have kept him? Is that what you're saying? Despite how utterly putrid he was for us?
Its not just the squad tho, players like Wilshere are not pulling there weight at the mo. The last 4 or 5 games his overrall play has been cack.
We need Giroud's physical presense and movement upfront.
We need Theo's speed.
We need Santi's wicked dribbling.
We need Ozil's playmaking and assists.
We need Poldi's deadly shooting.
We need Flamini's dirty job.
Actually we need our full first team to compete. Our bench is so thin, so so thin.
Wilshere has been cack now for a very long time. I have been banging on about for a very long time.
We've replaced Gervinho with Gnabry.
Heck of an upgrade there I'd say.

Chelsea are simply a better team. Cost a million times more than us. We have had financial constraints for years and therefore couldn't get the quality. We were treading water. Now it seems we can attract the best I see a slow rebuilding process going on. How long did it take Roman's millions to win the league? Or the oil sheiks millions to win the FA Cup and league? We will be title challengers in 2-3 years.

I guess your right
As a Chelsea fan watching the match tonight my first thought was wow, we have such a superior squad depth to Arsenal, but then I remembered you guys have so many injured players right now, where we only have one injured player.
I still think we have more squad depth, but i don't think it is a bad as some of you are saying on here, plus our best starting eleven line up's are probably very even.
We've been big game bottlers for quite sometime now. Routinely schooled by Chelsea under Mourinho, severally torn a new one by United, home and away, and it's been long we knocked out a Champions League contender. I wan't really surprised by tonight. A little luck with the injuries would certainly have helped but that team put out there was never going to do the job against Chelsea.
It's funny how many people were slating Walcott but now people are missing him!
How long did it take Rambo to come back to form after his dreadful injury? Wilshere needs another year or so. He will not be our saviour for another year. If he plays half as well as he did prior to his injury I'll be happy.
Why are our fans so fickle?
If Rambo's form dips I fear for him.

Not just that, but whenever we play a side of decent ability in a game that matters, we generally go out. I think Milan in 07 is probably the last time we eliminated a team you'd say were probably slightly better than us/equal to us and that, I'm afraid, is just so utterly poor for a club like ours. We're often beaten before the game even starts.
I have never slates Walcott, it's some of these clowns on here who seem to think we are better without him

Such a shame that on an Arsenal board, the voice of reason and common sense has to come from a Chelsea fan.
Well
@Charmakh
Do I miss Theo? Yes, I miss him, cause we are so shorthanded.
Will I miss him if we have our FULL team back? Probably not.

So Napoli are not a decent team then? We played them off the park. At our best we are brilliant. But we need all to be on form. We have no margin for error.
City, united and chelsea all beat us fairly comfortable last season and we just don't seem to pose much of a threat.
I have ruled out beating Mourinho Chelsea as he has wengers number but we have to show improvements in the next two games

We always reduce it to this simplistic arguments about money but we don't exactly run a shoe string budget with our massive £150m wages. Teams like Dortmund run on a fraction of that. We can set up better in this games than we do. We seem to capitulate a little too easily in them. There are tactical issues that have to be dealt with and you have to question if we've made optimum use of the money we spend when he likes of Bendtner and Park collect £50k weekly.

I didn't see Wenger play.
Iim just tired of us repeating the same mistakes every season against the better teams.
Today's game was just another replay of the last 2/3 games we have played against them.
Doesn't it worry anyone how comfortable they were all game?

We have a higher wage bill than Bayern also. Different country mate. Compare us with other EPL teams. In short our competitors. City, Chelse, Utd all have more expensive teams and higher wages. And guess what? They win more trophies also.
Probably Liverpool also have higher wages than us. Dortmund also gang rap.ped Real and they have a team and wages a fraction of them.
