We'd be nuts to risk Oscar's development into a truly world class no 10 by shoving him backwards just because putting as many young no10s into a team looks pretty on paper.
I have never seen that quot from Jose about playing Oscar deeper, when did he say it as it seems a total contradict ?
‘It is one thing to play with Ramires and Oscar in the side, with them closing each side and Mata as a No 10, with clever passes, fantastic actions, because he has great talent.

lol.......this just goes to show how much attention you pay it really does...............in making that comment he was talking about playing Oscar and Ramires on either side of Mata in a midfield 3, not as a midfield 2.........oh deary me!
Well, that's your own interpretation, this is mine...in diagram, for you to see what I thought about his statement.
-------Ramires-------------Oscar----
-------------------Mata------------------
??------------------------------------Hazard
-------------------Torres-----------------
No?
Whichever you look at it, Mata remains the focal point in the no.10 role, Oscar and Ramires play slightly behind, but side by side to Mata.
Moving Oscar back into midfield would completely ruin his game and the teams game. Look how good our pressing up top has been this season compared to any other season. Oscar has been very good up front this season even though I thought he was poor in our last CL game but he still came up with a vital assist.
If you think our midfield is poor you should look elsewhere to make it better. Maybe Luiz in midfield could be an option as he hasn't been great at the back recently.
It's my interprartion because in the context of those comments Jose refers to Oscar chasing full backs...........and that is the role of the two guys playing wide in a midfield 3, not the role of players in the deep midfield 2

Luiz was imperious last night though TLL, but I understand where you are coming from and yes any midfield weakness we currently have is in the 2 not the 3

Gazza, we lack width with Mazacar, i think that is the problem, but this could be solved by playing Azi or Bertrand, maybe both, but I don't think Jose is ready to drop talwarts Brana and Cole, so for now its Schurrle/Willian......Mata/Oscar and Hazard....
People can rightly ask why is Hazard a shoe in, but I think Jose has identified him as his Ronaldo and will always play Hazard
Hazard is key to his counter attack football strategy

Biggish I agree that Luiz was great yesterday but I think Cahill deserves his chance as he's been solid this season. I still rate Luiz higher then Cahill.
As you've said their is no need to change the front 3 because that ain't our problem. Midfield 2 needs some fixing though. If Cahill is ahead of Luiz in the picking order now then maybe we can try Luiz in midfield.
Gazza what do you do when a striker leans into you? You are always going to lose the battle. You have to let the striker win the ball or If you try win the ball it is a foul.
I think Willian will be great for us

Willian was great yesterday, but I am not convinced about all those step overs as they remind me of Ronaldo when he first signed for United.
But that's never gonna happen Gazza. Referees always back the striker in those situations.
Willian's passing, pressing and flicks are brilliant. He goes all out to win headers as well. I think he needs to start taking players on more. He has the skill and pace to beat players but rarely shows it.

To even suggest you know better than a manger like Jose is quite frankly embarrassing.

Where did I make any comment, indicating that Jose is wrong in his team selection, or something similar?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you saying Mata should play and Jose not playing him is not suggesting Jose was wrong then?
So why mention that Mata should be playing if you agree with Jose who clearly thinks he shouldn't
