Arsenal Fans And World Class

Okay be churlish. I'll take it you agree. My point is that they're not big game players and the world class players are. That's what makes them world class. Big game, big situations and they deliver.

Those two don't I'm afraid. Certainly Cazorla. Don't get me wrong, lovely player, but he lacks cajones.

I get your point I do. For me Koscielny is world class, or as close as you can get without actually being it (if you get me), he makes silly mistakes but technically I think he's one of the best CBs in the league.

Cazorla is a little magician. If he hasn't scored that many in big games I don't think that makes him any less of a player.

Fair do's and I agree on Kosch about being as close as you can be. I think like that with Agger.

By the same token I'd put Cazorla in with Berbatov (hear me out!!).

No-one can doubt their ability, they obviously have brilliant technique, but when the chips are down do they come to your rescue? Not really, or I can't think of any times that it has happened.

Wilshere in that Barca game you mentioned. Think it was that one or the return leg. Never went missing, always wanted the ball, looking for it, fighting for it, influencing things.

I just don't see that in Cazorla and as such I regard him as a fair weather player rather than a big game one.

I've seen a couple of interviews and columns by managers that say it's not the ability that sets footballers apart but rather being able to produce it when they have to. These are the players that I regard as world class.

Some fair points I watch Cazorla a lot obviously and for me he's similar to Kos in that if he isn't world class, then he's about as close as possible - maybe you're right and it will take some big performances in the bigger games. I'm sure he can and will do it, just needs to score the winner at Old Trafford next week

He will go up in my estimations if he does!

Here's hoping to a good game on Saturday , would be more than happy for Santi to score the winner there as well <wink>

Think we'll leave that to League 2 Suarez.

Going to be a banger!

Does that mean that super-duper Thierry Henry wouldn't have made your World Class selection? He was always being accused of 'going missing'.

posted on 31/10/13

Interesting question Henrys cos many people used to say that about Ibra also although I think that stance has changed a bit.

You've got to be pretty bitter and churlish to take something away from Henry. The guy did it week in week out as the best player on the pitch. Does Cazorla? Is he the best player on the pitch every week? I'd argue he's not the best in his squad.

Plus Henry got France to the World Cup against Ireland. Big game player.

So Robbing. All world class players are big game players right?
They all have to perform in a big game right?
I can name you numerous players of world class stature who get accused of not performing on the big stage. Perfect example? Ibrahimovic. Idiotic logic.

World class players are judged on their ability and what they are capable of with the ball. Simple as.

"Cazorla is a little magician. If he hasn't scored that many in big games I don't think that makes him any less of a player."

I see. Another strange and baseless statement. How did you come to this conclusion?

Nothing to do with him being a "fancy dan foreigner". He's a Spaniard so he has no balls.

If anything he's one of the Arsenal players with the most heart. Shown it on plenty of occasions. The game against Chelsea the other day for example. He was the only one trying to make things happen.

The Man U game last year at Old Trafford where Arsenal gave that performance. Once again he was the only one trying to make things happen and he managed to score at the end.

You don't know what you're talking about mate.

posted on 31/10/13

If you say so Dubbed but I actually know I'm right.

You think players trying to make things happen are world class.

I think players that make things happen are world class.

"You think players trying to make things happen are world class."

When did I say this? Do you get a kick out of lying and taking things out of context?

If you could read, I specifically responded to your hilariously ignorant 'Cazorla has no balls' line by saying he's one of the players with the biggest hearts at Arsenal.

As for what I think makes a world class player? Pretty simple. Ability and what they do with the ball.

"I think players that make things happen are world class."

Nope. You think players with 4 red cards can't be world class.
You're very far from right.

posted on 31/10/13

Yeah. I know I'm right. Couldn't find one game where he dug you out in a big game could you?

As a footnote if you are going to complain about being taken out of context it's probably best to not do the same yourself otherwise you look a bit silly like you do now.

Just saying.

"Yeah. I know I'm right. Couldn't find one game where he dug you out in a big game could you? "

Ha. You think highly of yourself don't you? I'm not gonna find a game cause I don't agree with your idiotic view in the first place.

You ascertain whether a player's world class purely based on whether they've played well in a big fixture or not.
Ridiculous.

Even when I did bother to question your laughable logic and posts directly, you've chosen to ignore my points.

"As a footnote if you are going to complain about being taken out of context it's probably best to not do the same yourself otherwise you look a bit silly like you do now."

Clearly that was intentional. And I was aware of that fact.
A shame you're not bright enough to pick up on it.

posted on 31/10/13

And why do you keep on pointing out how "right" you are?
What an idiot.

Sigh.

Iniesta, Zidane, Drogba. All big game players. Deliver under pressure and undoubtedly world class.

I get that you're not good at debating and I understand that not winning anything in your adult lifetime makes you a bit touchy but these players are not as good as you make out I'm afraid. Sorry but it's true.

I'll leave it at that.

He's still stuck on this. Are you honestly this dim witted and dumb? You're not just pretending?

You do realise that if someone completely disagrees with the logic that you're employing in an argument, that you're not meant to push it further?
This is your belief. Not a fact. I find it completely absurd and ridiculous.

Out of the kindness of my heart I gave even kinda gave you a name of one world class player who puts your whole argument to bed.
Ibrahimovic.

-------------------------

No and I cannot think of any walk of life that would.

You're a bit weird to be honest and I doubt there is one single person that you can document that would back you up. Again, sorry, but it's true. You're just a bit odd.

Just adding random punctuation like you have in your posts. #benchmark

You genuinely think your opinion is a fact that I have to dispute. There's one thing being an idiot. But a deluded and blinkered on to boot? One heck of a combo man.

Back up? And who's been backing you exactly? Fyi I don't need other people to validate my opinion. I'm pretty confident in it. Just laughing at your ridiculous beliefs.

"Just adding random punctuation like you have in your posts."

Never heard of a 'typo' I presume. You really are grasping at straws.

Ah the old.... 'It was a typo' backpedaling.

Can't beat it.......

So how did Cazorla play Robbing, you absolutely clueless idiot?
Kept banging on about him not being a big game player and then goes on to rip your team apart. Mug.
