Also as a footnote, has anyone else noticed that if you disagree with 'I am JH', he either deletes your comments or you get blocked from putting comments on his articles altogether.

Shame, that as I thought these forums were for adult debate, not oine sided opinion? Please dicuss as well.

I'd like Anichebe starting the majority of the games with Vydra staking a claim to try and take his place. Maybe start Vydra against Palace.

Shane Long is a dilemma. We played so much better once he came on against Liverpool but so did Anichebe's performance improved when he got moved to the centre.

Anelka to come on as a sub when we're just about comfortable, if he gets a goal then he could be in with a shout of playing more.

Rosenberg. I've thrown in the

Shaldon, regarding JH, I do think of late he has come to consider JA606 as his personal forum and that each contributor should follow his article/comment style and often opinion rather in the manner of a control freak.

That said, JH has graced these boards for some years making good contributions and previously not made derogatory comments about other members styles or opinions. An example is his comment on my recent Nicolas Anelka article when for no reason he attacked both my opinion and style. Why, I don't know but maybe if he thinks a little more carefully about his responses, we may see the old JH back. Constructive opinion is vital to these boards whether one agrees with that opinion or not and it should never get shouted down or personal. All that achieves is a vitriol response to JH's articles.

Hi The Baggie Man,

cheers for that, I haven't been on hee for long as a contributor, however, have looked on from time to time.

I noticed a pattern that quite a few peope are on here for very sort times, before they 'dissappear' and noticed this usually happened when their opinions deffered to JH.

I know he contributes a fair amount, however you wil also note, most of the comments on his articles are from himself!!

Anyway, we disgress....

Please SC try and give Long a few games to get going, he deserves his chance.

I'd like Anichebe to never play for our club again. He is the worst signing in the history of West Bromwich Albion Football Club.

I would rather see Vydra given a shot, followed by Berahino up top, followed by Rosenberg.

Long's play has deteriorated significantly since he was linked to that Liverpool move, Anelka is tosh, and Anichebe is rubbish.

I'd even prefer Sessegnon up top than those three.

Azzy, do I take it from your comment you're not too keen on Anichebe ?

My verdict on Anichebe is pending given the fact I've not seen enough of him. My main gripe is Anelka and that goes back to the day we signed him. Why go for someone of his age who is no longer hungry ?

I'd much rather have the pace of Long, the enthusiasm of Berahino or Vydra than Mr Sulkanelka. Even Rosie would not have missed the chances Anelka has squandered and I bet NA is on arounf £30k per week or more.

I've seen Anichebe play for Everton against us, and seen him play for Everton against others, and now for us too. I've spoken with Everton fans. From his play, and fans' opinions, he is barely good enough to play for a mid-table Championship team.

Which is probably why Peace signed him, after all, that is exactly what this club is, right?

Very good points Maggie Man, Berahino would be just right for this game, I was wondering whether playing him and Long up front could be worth a try.

I agree about Anelka, not even in the bench for me, loan him out to Kiddie.

I agree with you guys about Anelka. For me, he wouldn't even make the bench. He's got great experience but he can't find the net. For the Palace game, I think Vydra would be perfect.
Regarding JH, I think he forgets he's just another fan and, as my fellow old fart Baggie Man says, others' opinions are equally as valid, and it's unacceptable to put others down. He's done it to me a couple of times over perfectly valid comments, but he'll grow up one day. He is a good read.

Well Anelka has played 7 games, scored nothing and no assists, says it wll really, with 5 easy misses too

When I first visited this place, way back when 12yds was still going, the ONLY Baggie on here was JH.
While I agree, he can be snappy sometimes, I don't remember him being abusive to his fellow baggies (with the exception of Firey, of course).
We are all Baggies on here, some old (cough) ish and some young. Some of us, through one reason or another, can only get to a handful of games and some like JH are still living the dream and following us home and away.
Peace, tolerance and love, man....

Point taken Tidy.... Actually, as soon as BBC 606 was announced as finishing, I joined all of the alternative forums in order to protect my user name 'The Baggie Man'

606 closed on 31 May 2011 and my first article/comment on JA606 was 11 days earlier on 20 May 2011. That said Tidy. like you I used 12 Yards mainly until that closed.

Yes, we are all 'Baggies' and long may that continue. Its just JH can be a bit off-putting to people at times with his often 'do as I do and do as I say' philosophy.

Doesn't bother me at all - I just let it wash over me as I'm much to long in the tooth BUT, it may upset others having their style and/or opinions ridiculed.

PS: Tidy, you'll remember.... didn't Firey come from Devon from where Shaldon Baggie hails ?

posted on 1/11/13

Firey did claim to live in Devon. In fact Fiery claimed alot of things, most of which were porkies!

Snap their hands off, yet another mistake yesterday led to yet another goal.

Trouble is SC will probably replace him with Anelka's mate, Veira"

In the past, didn't Firey have a big 'downer' on Mulumbu ?

I thought Firey lived in north Devon not south Devon?
By the way, Shane Long's been selected up front for the Palace game.
Team: Myhill Jones McAuley Olsson Ridgwell Mulumbu Morrison Amalfitano Sessegnon Brunt Long Subs: Daniels Popov Lugano Yacob Vydra Rosenberg Berahino
Looks like Anelka's injured or not up to it.

Hey Guys,

not sure who you are on about, there' s lots of Baggies fans in Devon you know, lots.

Good game today, glad to see Long and Beranhino given a chance together albeit by default.

Long was quiet though, hope he still gets a run.

Mulumbu played well, and glad Brunt got an assist.

Didn't think we played all that well though, still pleased to see we got the points and aclean sheet, that's what counts.

Let's hope we don't hit Chelsea on the rebound!!!!
