i dnt understand the stick he gets, he's not a amazing talent but hes solid enough, cant remeber him making too many eff ups if any, as a youngster his positioning can be off(same as rafael when he started) but is decent going forward, people want every youngster to be amazing it looks like

Buttner is suspect defensively. He did start his career as a winger. The defensive side can be improved. Evra, Alba are other players who started as wingers and became full backs.

Young is very disliked as he ws seen as not good enough and so far his performances and antics hasn't helped. He needs to put in better performances to win back the fans. Fellaini will be in the same boat if not already due to performances and fee.

I didn't watch the game so can't really comment but I'm sure I read that Young failed to make a successful pass in the first half, if that's true then it's shocking.

My problem with Buttner was he was never really needed, a waste of money IMO and I personally would much rather see Fabio play ahead of him even though Moyes supposedly prefers left footed players at LB.

Also, Fabio is better defensively and at getting forward than Buttner.

Young was crap once again. I don't know why people are saying he played well.

He was an improvement on the Ashley Young that just turns backwards and passes the ball to Evra or the cm, as he actually managed to face the other way with the ball, but didn't actually do much with it other than sky loads of crosses.

Let's be honest OP, young is terribly average and on the night he over hit every single delivery into the box. On top of this he comes out and says he had a good game.

Zaha played better than him and produced some good moments, actually setting up a couple of chances.

Young should be sold and Zaha should be given his place.

I simply don't see an available rb that is as good or better than rafael. I think it is a load of bollox, or at least I hope it is.

Only 1-2 of his crosses were wayward... The other crosses were just not attacked properly. Paddy Crerard pointed it out correctly, saying that Zaha was in too much of a rush to get in the box where he should have been attacking the crosses from the wing.

btw - a Few of you need to think back to when Evra arrived... People were up in arms, calling him dogshíte and a pub player.

When young played for villa his crossing and set pieces were excellent. That has gone downhill as he seems to always overhit them now. Added to the fact he has no strength, can't take on players and doesn't seem to have any pace then he really does not offer much.
I am on the side of dropping him, play januzaj and have zaha as a backup as he can offer something different
