I am pretending to be the manager.
I think Hendo needs to start or we'll get overrun.
Expect to start with the same team as the W. Brom. game.
Maybe with the addition of Coutinho instead of Cissokho.
-----------------------------Mignolet
--------------Toure---------Skrtel----------Sakho
Johnson-----------Gerrard-----Lucas--------------Cissokho
----------------------------Henderson
---------------------Sturridge-----Suarez
Jones, Agger, Kelly, Allen, Coutinho, Moses, Aspas
Our bench might be the difference.
El-Toro seems right to me
Is Aspas fit?
Oh crud he isn't. Replace him with Sterling/Alberto.
Nah....id stick hendo in and take out moses. hendo and lucas in the cente will stiffle arsenal and allow the sas the ball to create havoc.
didn't think he was.
Is he looking for a loan move already?
I think so. Any player is going to struggle to get game time with the SAS partnership working so well. He needs games to settle into the league, and maybe he should be loaned out in January. However, that would leave us short of cover.

“It’s something that I have always wanted to do. When you play that system (with three at the back and two strikers), that is how you have to do it.
“Lucas was out last week, and Joe Allen wasn’t fit enough to play that controller role, so we had to go with what we had.
“When you play two controllers and one in front of them, you don’t cover the pitch, you don’t fan out well enough, so when the ball gets switched, you’re open.
“If you look at the games we’ve played, we’ve had quite a few shots against us. But when you flip the triangle and play with the one controller, it pushes the other two midfielders up the pitch more, so they can press it better. Then when the ball does get switched, they’re in position to press again.
“It’s something I’ve always known, and always wanted to do, but I can only deal with the players I have available.“We’re getting better. We’ve got wins this year without playing fluently, but Saturday was probably as good as we have been.”
Flipping the triangle seemed to solve some of the problems.
Shame for him getting injured as he really needs to settle in and bag a few goals. Too early to judge him.
That was a quote from Rodgers' by the way.
I will not play 3 at the back against any top side. I will flood the midfield with 5 players. In the last game Sturridge look poor except for his goal which happened after the game was already won. I may not start with Sturridge at all until we are leading. I amy go for Henderson instead of Sturridge. Arsenal will be fired up for this game. And they are at home.

You can still flood the midfield with 5 players using 3 at the back. In fact, this is the most efficient way of flooding the midfield.
Definitely 3-5-2. They don't have players who are fit to really hurt us using this system.
Barring injury it should be the same team as last week.
Hopefully our Ford Courtinho will be on the bench.

WTF is that team? I thought we wanted to win the game, not give Arsenal it.

_______-
Its was a very important goal, West Brom had just scored and were all over us for 20 minutes the Sturridge goal settled it. Goes to show you need players like Sturridge who can score goals from half chances when the teams not got the ball for long periods.
