Michael Bradley's a great player. Seems a waste to spend most of his career in MLS. Admirable that he wants to be the face of US football at home but could've played at a very high level for quite some time in Europe

On that minnows discussion (fell asleep at the controls last night!)...

From a sporting perspective it doesn't really help all that much to play against someone who's a dozen levels above you. It must be quite an experience for a part-timer to line up against the World Champions, but they're just so far ahead that it's just not going to improve you.

Two sets of professionals, fair enough, even if it's something live PL vs League One-level. There, even if small, you have room for an upset, and the lower level side can still find things in their opponents' game they can aspire to. I think that's fine.

As an aside, and perhaps a topic for a different discussion, if FIFA and UEFA are so concerned about developing the game and reaching out to all of those lower-ranked nations, why not organise a 'minnows Euros' or a 'minnows World Cup' (obviously under a more dignified name!).

If gone about correctly it could be a huge event for those involved, and imagine what a day it would be for say Tahiti to be contesting an official FIFA final.

Good to see the home nations do well, well minor Scotland.
Obviously depending on the individual teams groups but I see Wales ,at the least,be the ones to perform a style of football that is more kinder to the eye.
England will be as tedious as ever.
