He is. He plays when Cole doesn't. When it's an important game and Cole is fit, Cole plays. Baines is twenty-nine in two months and he has played twenty-one matches and I've no doubt a vast majority of them have been friendlies. He's a fringe player.

Why do they have to keep playing all home games at Wembley? For me, that is the sole reason why fans have lost abit of interest. Moving it round, so the whole country get to watch and pack out stadiums would make an instant difference IMO

We had this discussion on a thread a while back - Baines should play 1st choice against weaker teams, while Cole is better defensively and should play 'bigger' games.
