If you ignore Rashford`s goal I thought he was poor, his goal was virtually a tap in

This was Englands second string near enough so we cant get too disheartened.

Only Clyne and Smalling in todays starting line up will probably start against Russia.

Kane, Vardy, Rashford as the strikers, and Rooney as a slot for striker & midfielder

Sturridge a better player than Rashford but if an injury crisis struck Vardy and Kane you need someone to rely on and he isn't that man.

Do you think Sturridge will stay fit ?

Wilshere really shouldn't have been invited. Simply doesn't have the match sharpness to have the desired impact. You can't miss the entire season and bluff your way through the tournament.

Smalling, Rooney & Rashford Englands best players, everyone else rubbish as usual.

Bloody hell, you United boys have been really messed up with the arrival of Jose

Townsend has to go, he did more in 15 minutes than Sterling has done in 15 caps

Sturridge? Lack of fitness, reasonably average record for England. Risky (possibly even wasted?) selection.

What's your excuse

The players that should get cut. Delph, Wilshire (he is not match fit, if he is chasing shadows against Turkey and Aussies then against Germany and Spain will be worrying) and Sturridge.

Townsend is usually more productive for England than Sterling/Walcott/Chamberlain/Lallana.

United...agree, id take Townsend. Always delivers for England

This. Looked a bit overwhealmed at times and only cheesy sentimentality made Hoddle give him MOTM.

Smalling frightens me, you feel he's moments from disaster every time he gets the ball.

Bitter Billy what did you think of Diers own goal?

posted on 27/5/16

Rashford is good enough for 3rd/4th choice striker if it comes down to that, at least he is fit and can 100% be called upon if needed.

Barkley isn't going. I think it'll be him, Delph and Sturridge out.

England haven't looked anything special over these two games. Rooney looks in form. The fullbacks look good.

Can't take wilshere, dier and drinkwater are specialists in that area.

Clyne Smalling Cahill Bertrand

Rashford should go, and used as a sub. He gets goals.
Not brilliant in general play, but showing he has a goal in him.

Surely Barkley has to be one of the 3 left behind. He's been average all season (and I think I'm being kind). We have plenty of attacking midfield players - and he's gunning for the number 10 position behind Rooney and Alli.
Right now I'd vote for Barkley, Delph and Sturridge

posted on 27/5/16

Sturridge, Delph and Barkley will probably miss out.

Sturridge is a sicknote, Delph is garbage and Barkley has not impressed.

posted on 27/5/16

So many could be left out

Wilshere...hasnt played
Studge...England injury always
Barkley....been awful
Delph....not played
Rashford.....too soon for me
Heaton....do we need 3 keepers? Never know a team to lose 2 keepers in a tournament.
