When has that ever happened in football?

Points, head to head, and, or gd has always been the way. Then goals scored. Wins is way down on the list. Pointless doing it in a three game group stage as well.

Head-to-head can't work in this format. Maybe that's my problem with it.

Tbf Iceland might make things even easier for the FA. They've pulled off a number of shocks getting this far already

I know it can't. Just saying that using wins is not gonna happen as it's so low down on the criteria. Especially in a four match group stage it becomes even more pointless. Goal difference is fine. Best way to decide in this format.

Germany vs Spain in the quarter finals will be tasty.

Or Germany vs Italy (if they beat Spain)

If Portugal beat Croatia, they get the winner of Switzerland and Poland.

Please Woy....

England are the home team vs Iceland.

We are the away team in every following match we qualify for.

England vs Germany semi final.

Cahill to miss the decisive penalty. Then do an ad for Pizza Hut shortly after.

France might have to beat all the home nations to win it.... they must be sweating
