The way you're going on, you're acting as if it's impossible that Chelsea will drop points. Ridiculous.

As a united fan who knows full well his own team have no chance of challenging for the title, its all he has left.
Liverpool, 6 points behind, half a season to go, top scorers in the league, goals coming from all over the pitch, obviously they have no chance.

I'm just waiting for his article on the United board on how we're declaring ourselves league champions

Klopp's record at Liverpool after his first 6 months wasn't so hot either

in that time he identified which players in the squad could play his system, and which couldnt...and made changes during the transfer windows.......Guardiola is I guess doing the same thing

I'd judge Guardiola on what happens next season to be honest

Klopp took over a team going nowhere both in Europe and domestically.

Guardiola took over CL semi-finalists and regular top 4 side.

Slightly different starting positions.

Pep neglected the midfield and defence too much. And made mistakes with two of the signings he did make for those areas: Stones and Gundogan.

Stones because he's shiiiiit. And Gundogan because it was obvious he'd get injured again as he's crocked.

That team in the Welsh premier league with 27 victories in a row .. show offs

Man City spent the most this season, poor return in the league so far . I suspect they'll do well in Europe though, Maybe, they'll pick up in the 2nd part of the season. They're too good not be involved in the title race.

I don't think they'll do well in Europe. Wouldn't surprise me if Monaco knock them out.

Not true either. City haven't been involved in a title race since 2014.

Where are they going to make up ten points on Chelsea? This defeat really is a blow for City.

Slightly facking hell how much did City spend 180million? on top of probably the strongest squad in the league on paper. Poor showing from Pep still looks like he needs to spend another 200 million.

I said, it was a poor return for their investement so far. But, It would be silly to dissmiss them and 10 points is not a lot at this stage of the season, 19 games to play yet.

posted on 31/12/16

Why would it be silly to dismiss them? What have they shown this season and in the last two that makes you think they're too good not to be in the title race and capable of overturning a ten point gap on Chelsea?

Must admit I expected City to win the league this season but in terms of performances and consistency they don't look any better than they did the last two seasons under Pel.

posted on 31/12/16

I am not disputing in terms of results thus far. But, they have the players to go on good run. Also, their style of play is more fluid compared to Pel's side.

posted on 31/12/16

They have the players to go on a good run, but as a team they clearly aren't good enough to go on a good enough run to overhaul Chelsea. This reminds of 2015 when City were just expected to go on a run and breathe down Chelsea's throats. Didn't happen then, don't think it will now.

Their style at times has looked more fluid I agree. But at others it's looked just as toothless, arguably more so. I think without Gundogan pulling the strings in midfield they'll have a few more games like today.

I think they have more chance of finishing below us than finishing above Chelsea.

Thing is look at the money City have spent on centre backs.

Otamendi - £38m
Mangala - £35m
Stones - £50m

We got Klavan for £4m & Matip on a free!

£50m on Stones.
