I've said it before, possession seems rather overrated these days. A lot of it comes from just passing it around your defence near the halfway line rather than in dangerous areas.
--------------------------------------------
A lot of better teams have possession because the teams that aren't as good are happy to sit off, play for a point and because they aren't as good in possession of the ball.
I'd probably think though a lot of your "lesser" sides in the PL, or the mid table sides should consider a possession based style of football. Aiming to have 70% of possession each game, on average. Possession isn't just about the ball, it's about how long you have it for. 70% possession means that you have the ball for 70% of the game. 70% of 90 minutes is 63 minutes of a game. So if a team has possession for over 2/3's of the game, your saying to your opponent, you've essentially got half an hour to score, whereas as we have 60 minutes to score. If not, I'm sure the smaller sides will take points if they can't break the opposition down.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You really think we read that.

ajax playing terrible here
Another misplaced pass! Poor game so far both teams sub standard
What seems to be the officer, problem?
This standard is really poor - Ajax look a little clueless and United just hoofing it up to Fellani and Rashford
