I think he'll do a good job next season.
don't think average fan understands how the watford owners do things
Had 4 managers during their promotion winning season, sacked the 4th before the PL season started, had a good PL season and a FA Cup semi, sacked that manager, had another season without relegation fears, sacked another manager.
Pretty hard to see what expectations the owners have.

Anyone watching the FA Cup show? BBC 1. Wenger interview right now.
Arsene Wenger: "You don't mind criticism...but the lack of respect in some stages has been a disgrace & I'll never accept that"
Wenger: "There's a difference between criticism & being treated like no human being deserves. Behaviour of some people has hurt me the most"
Lol
Well considering they finished 17th this year and gone backwards and it looks like they've only just escaped relegation, they have good reason to get rid of him.
Quiche Sanchez Flores actually left his post after the FA Cup semi-final defeat, they didn't actually get rid of him.
Just to note on the season just gone, I think Watford had a good chance to finish in the top 10 which would be considered a good achievement to the board, but they finished 17th and he couldn't speak English.
Silva can speak English and if the next season is much like the one just gone, Watford could quite easily finish in the top 10 with him in charge and I think they will with him, which would see him keep his job.
Watford finished 6 points off 8th.
They did get rid of Quique Flores, his contract was only for a year and they didn't offer him a new one because they were unhappy with the season.
They won 2 of their last 11 PL games and finished 13th. Whilst 13th is a good position for a club like Watford, with 2 wins in 11 games, they feel they could have done better. A season lasts for 38 games, not until you get to 40 points and are considered "safe" like most clubs near the bottom do nowadays. They do have a right to feel aggrieved.
Exactly, finished 6 points off 8th, but finished 17th. Can't use their points tally as an excuse. They've been poor at the back end of this season, they could have quite easily won another 2/3 more games and finished 8th, why didn't they? That's what the board will be asking.

========
Because it has been known for a while that they were sacking the manager.
Just as it had the season before.
Is it any surprise when performances drop if a manager knows he is getting sacked and the players know they are safe?
Also, your criticism of Flores. 2 wins at end of the season? Well Marco Silva only managed 3 from his last 10, including a pathetic 2-0 home defeat to Sunderland which pretty much sealed relegation. Only managed 1 away point in half a season as well.
This Silva guy is well overrated. Couldn't even keep hull up
It was obvious the manager was going to be sacked for some time before he was.
Maybe if the board weren't so trigger happy then the players wouldn't have basically given up in the last few weeks.
I'm just not sure what Watford are trying to achieve. They are a very small club by PL standards, so being in the division at all is an achievement.
If they are expecting better than that then they are just deluded.
I agree Silva has become overrated.
It's like Gabbiadini at Saints. Scored a few when he first arrived and people were saying wow sign him up!
Hang on a minute, let's give it a bit of time and see what happens.
Hull improved when Silva first took over but their performances in the closing weeks, particularly Sunderland home and Palace away, their biggest games of the season, were diabolical.
What have you got to prove that both Flores and Mazzari were going be sacked long before it was announced? Paper talk?
No, once they reached 40 points, they knew that was enough, season over. The same goes for most of them teams from 8th through to 17th, happy to reach 40 points. Mediocre.
Silva did a good job with what he had. Brought in the players he wanted and certainly gave them more of a chance of surviving. Were they ever going to stay up realistically? No. So you can't say he's overrated because he didn't exceed expectations when everyone knew Hull were going down from the minute they stepped into the PL.

Watford were favourites to go straight back down in their first season back. Quique Flores took them to 13th and a cup semi. Yet his sacking was the correct decision in your opinion.

======
Bit more than paper talk when it happens.
Quique Flores did a crap job because he took a newly promoted team to 13th.
Silva did a brilliant job because he took a team from 18th to 18th.
Your right, a bit more than paper talk when it happens. However, you've told me that Mazzari's and Flores' futures were decided well before it was announced. That was paper talk, until it did happen of course.
It's called being ambitious. Just because bookies expect them to go down, doesn't mean the board does. Obviously the squad they had they felt could have done more. Poor form at the end of the season could have seen them finish higher. Flores himself may have thought that they had underachieved. He may have been asked to finish in the top 10 in his first season, he didn't achieve that. Who knows. We can only assume, but if that's the case, tough luck, they obviously had the right to sack him.
2 - Chelsea have lost just twice in their last 13 games against Arsenal in all competitions (W8 D3). Governed.
I never said a brilliant job. I also never said Quique Flores did a bad job.
Silva did a good job with what he had. Was given the funds mid season to patch up a squad full of Championship players. The fact he's taken 25 points from 22 league games, for a club who went down is very much a good record.
Silva earned Hull 1.14 (rounded up) points per game whilst he was in charge. That for a side down at the bottom is a good record. Over a 38 game season, that's 43.18 points (so 43 whole number). That would have seen Hull finish 14th if that was the case. For the squad and resources he had, to manage a Championship-bound squad and club and get 1.14 points per game is one good record in my book. He just didn't have the full season to do it.
Thought Lamps was just contracted to Sky, surprised he's on BBC.
Also, like I said, never said Quique Sanchez Flores did a bad job, but if he was asked when he first arrived to finish in the top 10 and he didn't deliver, then the Watford board have a justified decision to change him, even with an FA Cup semi-final.
