Not sure how Barca allowed this level of decline of their squad. Even without Ronaldo for Madrid, they're inferior to Madrid all over the pitch. Their squad needs a massive overhaul. Pretty much their entire 11 bar Pique, Busquets, Messi and Suarez need to be upgraded.

Madrid's squad is unreal. On the flip side Barca's player recruitment is a shambles.

Suarez was a vanity signing and has only given them one good season. Umtiti is decent. The rest of players they have brought in over the last 4 or 5 years have been average at best.

And now they plan on spending £200M on overrated Coutinho and a child who was unheard of a year ago

The whole last season was a complete disaster for him most of the time. Think he is a bit found out and past it.

They just bought former player Paulista for their midfield and paid over 30M for him.

you mean Paulinho?

Barca will probably still make it further in Europe than most of the PL entrants

Paulinho done well in China and has been excellent for Brazil so wouldn't write him off immediately

He doesn't seem a Barca player to me though. Won't be surprised if he flops miserably
