However Skuthgates one man midfield is causing us issues. Against teams who are comfortable at keeping the ball it fls down. Especially when the back three drop too deep

They just mentioned that someone was needed who was “brave” enough to close down De Bruyne. Exactly. This is what Kante did and effectively shut him out of the France game. But, like Kante, it will need someone who can run forever or stick to him like a leech. I’m not sure we have anyone like that.

Kane should be on the shoulder of the defender.. hes usually deeper than the second striker, not sure what they are meant to do if they turn and nowone is there to receive the ball.

relying on sterling or rashford being able to take 3 players on an score a worldie every time, or they hold the ball up, kill momentum and let the opposition back

Depends how tired Anderson is, GT. That match will have really taken it out of him. But then Djokovic has less rest and a tough game today.

henderson was a titan first half against croatia, but it left him absoloutely facked and useless.

formation does not work, nor play to our strengths

We are just one or two creative players from being a very good side. I’m hoping Foden can step up at City and become one of those players.
