Leno caught the ball before Maupay even jumped. He had no chance of getting the ball and knew exactly what he was doing. Some naive comments defending Maupay, he wanted to put something on Leno and did.

a) Because his knee bent to an almost perpendicular angle. They haven't even showed the pictures.
b) it was a needless foul and now he's in pain and out injured for a while at least. He isn't innocent. I don't blame him for lashing out a bit.
