3 semi finals (and almost certainly a final) in 3 years for an England manager and people think it is inspite of the boss?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What was the third one?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nations League?

england are bottling it
a better team would have taken advantage
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Italy will. Will be very one sided, very much like 2012 final
Why does Pickford look knackered when he hasn't done anything for an hour
Ahhh yeah that's a huge achievement

I think Southgate has done a lot of good stuff behind the scenes by the sounds of it, managing the players and the occasion and stuff but I really don't rate his tactical approach or game management. It's come off so far but it could easily have gone the other way a couple of times
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He isn't perfect. But he has done a better job than the managers before him. Deserves respect tbh
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He has, but he's got a deeper squad of quality players than previous England managers have had.
I guess you can't argue with results, but that doesn't mean he's beyond criticism.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course he deserves criticism, but there are those who take go far with it.
I do not agree always with his team selection or subs, but it seems obvious he has exceeded expectations.

Denmark is done physically. You could see that in their last game as well. They are struggling after the 60th min.
That’s why you take Grealish off and leave Sterling on

Also, if it was another manager some people would be praising his decision to bring Grealish off
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I doubt it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well that very much depends if you looking for an excuse to slag him off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s not an excuse, It was a cowardly sub. We should be looking to go 3-1 up rather than play not to concede. One mistake and it’s 2-2 and we likely lose on pens.

Rashford probably comes on in the 119th minute to waste time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He will have to get some time on the park - after all he is paying for the team lunches - fish fingers, beans and mash

Wonder if being so conservative and putting ourselves through ET will cost us in the final
We look a lot fitter than them right now

Yeah for sure, pretty poor fitness wise
Slabhead & Stones been very good, that mistake in the first half aside
They haven't looked like scoring all game

It's not a cowardly sub at all.
If anything its a call which raises some eyebrows.
Making a sub to defend a lead is just valid as bringing on additional attacker.
Maguire has been brilliant today
We wore Denmark down and from the 60th minute, they have been on the back foot. We are just nit adventurous enough. Defend with 8 players.
Southgate is far too cautious. That’s my issue. But if it wins the Euros, then it doesn’t matter
