I don't think it's a complacency issue. Eventually the quality of your squad catches up to you when teams are more prepared to deal with your unique style

Think it is a few things. These teams tend to lose the momentum after they get safe, then never get it back. Think the novelty wears off for the fans a bit, especially at home, so they decline. Teams aren't surprised by them.

It’s doable. Chelsea did it in the CL Final and Palace a few weeks ago. You just need players with the discipline and ability to suffer 90 mins without trying to be too clever.
More likely going to see it in the champions league. Most PL teams are not patient enough as Ms don’t possess the pact skillful attacker needed to exploit our high line.
