I’m all seriousness, you can’t blame the lino for that one in terms of timing… Countinho was running away from goal and play had moved on.

Obviously his fault that he got it wrong but not sure what you would expect in terms of how long he’d wait.

Running away from goal? What game did Winston watch? He was running across the edge of the box. He could also have played someone in and that's why they're told not to flag immediately just in case it's not offside

They are only supposed to flag when they think it was clear and it was never offside or close. It was a great chance as well hence Coutinho scored as Man Cirt were stretched.

I'm Gerrard was furious and rightly so. The chance to beat City doesn't come very often and when it does you usually also have to beat the referee too.

It actually reminded me of Coutinho goal in 3-2 win against Man City.

No goalkeeper could save the shot Coutinho shot really. Undaveable.

I wondered about that, Ederson clearly made no attempt to go for it and I wonder if Coutinho had heard the whistle before shooting, so obviously not a clear cut goal. Wasn't straight at him though
