Modric is the best old midfielder ever I reckon. We're seeing players go longer all the time now but not at CM playing full 90's at his level.

I took up 5-aside at 37...until 42 - broke my foot and that was that

Had a go at walking football for a year or two

i was still playing decent until 39-40...legs went after that
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I was playing two games of 90 mins back to back when I was 41.

Just hated getting roasted for pace, fitness side was/is fine.

Tried veterans league but they're all the ones who were semi pro and stuff.

So quit. I do miss it. Training most of all.
