Stupid isn’t it? What’s the point of having them watching the screens in a studio then?

The referee made the initial decision. He's the one that has to overturn it. That's one of the few things that makes sense tbh

Should still turn this around, West Ham can’t hold on to the ball for longer than 15 seconds

So they can check for errors like the one the ref made.

Basically it’s to give agency to the ref again after a mistake.
