What you are saying is that there werent enough incisive passes yesterday which is true but youre not accepting that the run HAS to come before the pass for a situation like that
Sanogo kept running across the defence while the midfield were often static
A few more sprints into the box would have seen more through balls
Liverpool bringing dull football to the league
The welcome sound of the half time whistle
Suarez took Liverpool's good football with him.
havent seen much of Sturridge but Sterling was lively
Prob not dj. Wanyama player of half there.

Not many better cm pairings in league than Wanyama and schneiderlin when both fully fit. Solid.

And yes our free-kicks, set pieces in general are a concern. Do we exercice them in training?

There was an article on the club site last year. Seems Arsene didn't read it.

Proof that we don't practice freekicks,
"If you include Arteta's Everton goals as well, he has scored six free-kicks since 2006 - only three players have more in the Premier League in that time."

I accept that, CEG and you are right that of course the run has to come before. That makes sense and space for a striker that gives him the advantage.
As you said there werent much incisive passes. Palace stopped every attack very comfortably.
So I like to defend Sanogo a bit here. Our crosses were all awful. We passed the ball around the box but not into their box.
the corners were poor, we rarely beat the first man but both goals came from set-pieces

Ramsey goals not directly from a corner.
CEG, want to add something.
I thought Wenger had learn something from last year and I expected him to change formation when he saw that we were not effective enough.
Surely the injury to Gibbs robbed as one more replacement.
All in all it was an awful performance from us.
Sanogo was static yesterday, didn't move or jump for any balls,

Early days though. He had the players to change something very early in the game when he saw that we couldnt break them.
Maybe when Theo comes back. I have hopes.
We are never going to play 2 up front unless we are desperate. Simple as that.

Palace were under instructions to stay back and slow the game as much as possible. I think our lads kept their heads yesterday , right to the end.
i forgot about the time-wasting
You surely agree that our set pieces, corners and crosses are a concern, CEG?
Not really, we score a good few goals from set pieces and we scored from a cross yesterday. What we need is better strikers to make the most of them. Sanogo is not a footballer and Giroud is Giroud.

_____________
We had more ball possession but what was worrying for me was that we didnt play with urgency and penetration.
Apparently we scored the most headed goals in the league last season.
