In a 3-5-2 you need defensive wingers, Di Maria is hardly defensively capable or hard working.

It may take LVG longer than you think to get Utd back to where they want to be. He's been out of club football for a while now and the do say there is no league quite like the Premier League as lower half teams can beat the bigger teams on any given day, this rarely happens in Germany, Spain, etc.

Di Maria is the best winger they could get yes. But he does not suit 3-5-2 at all

And hes certainly not worth 72mil

United have no chance of beating the bigger teams on this performance....

I think he wants to play 4-3-3, but never going to work with Rooney and RVP. Too many players to accommodate to maybe fit the way he wants to set up; thesquad isimbimbalanced.

Rooney ffs.

3-5-2 requires for your wingers to have incredible stamina. There's a difference between trackign back and being the main person responsible for defending your flank.
