Dhoni summed it up perfectly when he said that he is better off deploying bowling machines.

I'm surprised why the skipper demands were not being met. The wickets don't even offer any spin.

Ravi shastri on commentary just said, the crowds loving it and the Aussies don't know what has hit them

___________u.
flat and road like pitches and the small boundaries Ravi, ever thought of that?

The Aussies will still chase this

Ravi shahtri does reach into conclusions very quickly. He just said Rohit Sharma is maturing very quickly.

Its enjoyable to watch this, but im afraid it has done India no favour. We dont have any future planning and scoring tons of runs in India is not going to change the fortunes of how we will do in NZ SA Eng and Aus.

I hope we have better pitches in WI series.

aussies dont have batting firepower like india, so i put my house in india defending it. MARK MY WORD.

viru, why dont you rather ask, how is such pitch not helping indian youngster in their batsmanship?
Sport and batting alike is major portion psychology, and your indian boys are developing habit of scoring runs in international cricket which will install great memories and confidences in their system.

Yh I think India will win this. 380 is way too much for Aussies.

Kharse,

Are you enjoying this series following your comments about Pakistan low scores? I'd take the Pakistan Saffers series over this every single second of the day...... It's a series that offers something to bat and ball...... This series offers something to the bat and thd equipment used to measure the 6's on what is one if the smallest international cricket grounds

Its a tale of 2 series. 1 series favours the batmens massively and the other favours the bowlers (SAvsPaks). Is there no middle ground anymore?

This was the ground where Andrew Strauss scored 150 in the last WC. Just shows its not up to international standards.

True. Although there has been some shocking batting on display in the uae, so I think it's probably more of a bat/bowl contest than the first results have actually shown

A14, tbh , i enjoyed tamasha rather than the game itself. If I were indian fan, or george bailey fan or if someone like Ricky ponting or my other favourite batsmen were smacking those runs and record, then i would have probably enjoyed it.
But also tbh, i am a bit jealous of indian batting rich, particularly i mostly watch cricket to see india lose, but that doesnt mean i express unfair view and in all my fairness, though i dislike india , their batting line up is the most ferocious around, that too even after their batting legends have all retired

Kharse, no doubt about it India have massive amount of talent, however the point about this series is the pitches. Do you think they offer a fair contest between bat and ball? Which series, as a neutral would you watch more pak Saffers or India Aussies, just purely from a contest and pure cricket point of view?

posted on 2/11/13

I like seeing 6s as much as the next guy, but this is becoming a farce.

There is no contest between bat and ball. The last 10 overs were basically baseball.

posted on 2/11/13

Have you ever watched baseball, Lamela?

posted on 2/11/13

Nope! But I imagine that is what it's like!

posted on 2/11/13

Very few runs are scored in baseball.

posted on 2/11/13

It's stand and deliver slogging though.

I genuinely wonder how someone like Dhoni would do in baseball. I bet he would tear it up with the helicopter!

You have to rate dhonis helicopter shot. Class

Mmmm, seems wickets are gaming

Does the ICC regulate the distance to the boundary?

7 down.

Also the boundries in countries like new Zealand are shorter.

Neon,

Are they smaller than this particular ground?
