I don't know whether it's been noticed that Defoe is good for perhaps half a season like last year when he started well enough under AVB and then faded badly. His record goal was a deflection which was going out. Long past the time he was off loaded but not to have Ade or Pato replace him because the latter isn't finding the net at the moment. Ade's crap, nuff said. Who is it who wants to leave Man Utd?Let's get him in.

Defoe is well past is sell-buy date at WHL now, he has no future, and I am sure with Ade also out of fashion, AVB must have another striker coming in as an almost given. You can tell from Defoe`s body langugage midweek that he is not now interested, so I reckon it will almost be certain he will be off in January.

That's true - Defoe didn't look bothered against Hull.

Don't think the destination of Toronto FC is unrealistic. Saw them play live this Summer against Seattle Sounders (Dempsey's debut and they had Obafemi Martins up front ) and boy are they poor up front! Despite having the lethal weapon that is Robbie Earnshaw (and Steven Caldwell at centre half) . Earnshaw is their top earner and at 34, a 31/32 year old Defoe, along with first picks in the draft, it would make a v.good off season for TFC.
Defoe would absolutely demolish most MLS defences with the right service to him. If we get $6-10m for him end of the season I'd be v.happy with that!
I love Defoe for all he has done (9-1 v Wigan and many EL games spring to mind), but his game has slowed and now doesn't fit our system.
