Tried a few brands initially but have stuck with myprotein whey protein for the last year and a half.

Best value, best mixability, best taste.

At the minute no, just one straight after a workout.

GoNutrition are worth a look... My Protein founders new venture.

Their Jammie Biscuit flavoured protein is mega either as a shake or to make protein ice cream.

Bodybuilding warehouses own brand stuff is good too.

Apologies on the delay of this retort.

If I have to say, value for money means that MyProtein is probably the best thing on the market. A lot of filler sheit in the whey protein, however you get a good batch of protein for the price you paid (go for flavourless so you dont have unnecessary sugars and e-numbers added).

I however go for a mix called 'Warrior blend protein' as I am lactose intolerant and would rather have a mix of proteins I cant get in food.


if you want some seriously optimal gains though, buy some casein so that you can have it before you go to bed. And BCAA's so taht you can have them before you work out.


I would not recommend Chuff Dust, however

Mutant Mass is the best I've found by a country mile.
