We havent really missed Flamini yet. Arteta's done well for us as his replacement. Wont start him against Man Utd unless Walcott isn't fit enough to start. Would play Nacho tomorrow

Walcott is not fit, Wenger said he will be back after the break. We didn't miss Flamini against Liverpool but Arteta does not put in those sort of performances every week and we will need Flamini to do a job on Rooney anyway.

So far this season Flamini has out performed Arteta, but if Arteta can play as well as he did against Liverpool consistently surely he should be given the starting spot (assuming when everyone is fit ramsey/wilshere will fit alongside flamini/arteta).

Arteta's been brilliant against Liverpool and Dortmund. For me he is a better player than Flamini.

If Walcott doesnt make it similar team to the one that outclassed Napoli with Cazorla coming in for Rosicky.

Theo would have only made the bench anyway. Rather him and Poldi step it up and return to full fitness after the break.

I think when everybody is fit, Wenger will try find a way to fit Arteta and Flamini in the same team. If both are fit, it is a banker they will start vs United.

We are lucky that Arteta was injured at the start of the season because Ramsey probably would have dropped out of the team and we wouldn't have seen the performances he is putting it at the moment.

Arteta and Flamini are different type of players, both good at their jobs. I think Arteta has been excellent since his return, especially vs Dortmund and Liverpool. He has shown that being over-30 doesn't mean you're not good enough for a team like Arsenal.

I would not drop Arteta, even if Flamini comes back. The team the OP has posted looks good to me.

No chance Ramsey would have been dropped been amazing since January. Anything to have a pop at Wenger

Not having a pop at Wenger, nobody expected these sorts of performances from Ramsey, probably not even Wenger. Everybody is entitled to good fortune every now and again, I remember we had planned to loan Cashley out until Sylvinho got injured and he never lost his spot in the team again.

you got money on Arsenal Bats?

I did. I told you in the summer he would be this good. Would have been Flamini on the bench if Arteta wasn't injured at the start of the season. Wenger probably did. Everyone would criticise him for playing Ramsey. He saw something in Ramsey that many didn't.

No

He obviously saw something in him but I don't think he expected to come into form so quickly. He is the top performer in the PL at the moment, nobody expected that from him.

I did. Will you now admit he is the best midfielder in the world currently?

i wouldn't mind playing Rosicky on Sunday as he has high work rate and we could pass United to death however it's probably a good idea if flamini comes in so he does a job on Rooney plus that will be Rosickys third game in a week

and yh id start nacho tomorrow

sorry about no punctuality and grammar.

Flamini rushed back? Hope it doesn't backfire. We've been there before, and got burned more than once.

OP, spot on agree with all your points. Flamini starting would be a great boost, my biggest fear against United is we do our huff and puff routine without creating too much, and then they cut us open on the counter. Flamini is crucial in stopping that.

Like March says though, really hope if he plays that he is genuinely ready, and not half fit.
