Ffs do we have to make an article whenever somebody says we cant win the title
For every pound I had for someone who said this...
They're opinion as bats says. Not even half way through the season yet.
When you listen to what he says it is pretty fair tbh. If Giroud gets injured, we are facked.
I don't really care. I actually want people to keep writing us off. If pressure gets heaped on us to win it, it could have a negative effect.
All I know is this arsenal team is so much better and more convincing than it has been since the invincibles.
I've gone from (in previous season)...
Can this team win the league? No
Do I think we will win the league? No
To...
Can this team win the league? Yes
Do I think we will win? Ummm ask in january
Haha that is a good improvement for me!
I wouldn't say won't or can't but your still a real outside bet as far as I'm concerned.
Exactly more people writing us off the better. Either way we won't have anything to lose in that sense.
They will all change their opinions if we beat Man U on Sunday.
It's a myth that our squad is thin... in a few weeks we'll have one of the best benches in the league. Pod can play up front and we can get a striker in Jan as well.
I understand that Dunn is not an arsenal fun, but surely as a newspaper analyst (if that's what he is?), it's part of his job to be more knowledgeable about the game. I respect his opinion about arsenal not being capable of winning the league, but to criticise our bench is ludicrous. We have so many injuries, what do people expect?
Flamini, Wilshere, Ox, Walcott, Podolski, Zelalem could all be on the bench soon.
Verm
With a fully fit squad, players like Podolski/Ox won't make the bench.
First XI; Szczesny/Gibbs/Koscielny/Mertesacker/Sagna/Flamini/Ramsey/Cazorla/Ozil/Walcott/Giroud
Bench; Fabianski/Vermaelen/Monreal/Arteta/Wishere/Rosicky/Podolski
Ox, Bendtner, Zelalem, Gnabry, Jenkinson, Diaby, Sanogo all miss out.
You can make a case for Ox over a few on the bench but our squad is fine.
We just lack a top quality CF to complete the set.
Also, it is ridiculous to say that Arsenal can't/won't win when we are sitting 8 points ahead of United, who pundits refuse to rule out. We have just as many class players as them (maybe even more) and we have a much much better manager.
Only City and Chelsea can finish above us (the way it looks atm).
Saying that, I don't think we will win, but that is because I am a pessimist
I think we as fans need to be a little less sensitive to journalists when they say things that we don't like. Watching the video, Andy Dunn does make some valid points about striking options and lack of depth.
We're well stocked in some areas, but definitely short in others. That's not to say we can't win the league - that hardly requires a perfect squad, but, while things are going excellently at the moment, we still have to be wary that the season is still young and there are plenty of twist and turns to come I'm sure.
We just need to take each game at a time and not overreact to results, because hyperbole doesn't help.

Yet 4 days ago you were still calling for Wenger out. presumably Laudrup in?
Who cares its an opinion.
We can win the title but the odds are against us
It still amazes me that people take so much notice of what the newspapers write, especially so called expert journalists, whose sole (or main) purpose is to get people to read their papers. Dunn has no more idea than anyone else as to whether Arsenal will win the title, but it doesn't take much imagination to say look at previous recent history, so why should this year be any different?
As a Utd fan, I recognise that Arsenal have made a great start, but of course it's not til around March next year that we all will really know whether they are in the hunt or not. To their advantage is that they are a settled squad with a settled manager, and assuming they are still in the hunt in March, it will be then a case with coping with that pressure, which Wenger knows all about but a lot of his squad may not. The fact that the likes of us, City and Chelsea are for one reason or another not firing on all cylinders is to Arsenal's benefit, and at the moment Arsenal are taking full advantage of that. And of course added to the mix are Spurs and still Liverpool, and whilst I don't think it will be a 6 horse race come March, I think plenty of points will be dropped by the big teams more than usual.
No-one predicted Utd to win at a relative canter last season, so who knows what will happen this season, although overall one would expect a much tighter race.
I think people misunderstood why I put up this article, it wasn't because I had a problem with what was said (although Dunn was slightly harsh) or that I get pi55ed off by what pundits reckon as Arsenal have always been written off and that is hardly going to change overnight no matter how well we play, however I do think he is wrong when he suggests we have a weak squad and are knackered up front if Giroud gets injured and that is why we 'won't' or 'can't' win the title.
I would say when everyone comes back we have, along with Chelsea, the strongest bench in the Prem and should Giroud get injured we would have Podolski, Walcott and the untested Sanogo as back-up making Bendtner 5th choice so hardly going to be playing as much as some pundits may believe. Also if we get through to January still top of the league I personally would really start to believe we can do it as I fully expect Wenger to buy a couple of players with a striker coming in being a certainty.
If Dunn predicts us to win the Title, does that mean we will it ?! Ofcourse not.
We've fallen short the last few years, if we are 6 points clear of the 2nd placed team with 2 games to go, people will still be skeptical.
That will only change if we win it
