welbeck, being englands top scorer over the last 12 months
even Nathaniel Clyne should have had a go imo.
Saido's chance will come, just needs to keep progressing as he has done. No rush especially when he hasn't signed that contract yet.
I'm glad Saido has not been included.
Like SC. I believe he is not ready for full international selection as yet and a delay of perhaps this season will concentrate his mind on his game for Albion and not the international stage.
Let him rest his young legs ready for the next game for The Albion

So we know all we need to know about him. His plane ticket is booked. What if he gets injured in April, and we have no-one capped in his position? It's a huge gamble by Roy to stick with the old guard when one or two injuries could leave him exposed with an untested rookie in the side in Brazil.
Good, because chances are the "big" clubs will use their players to tap him up and unsettle him with talk of what their clubs can offer.
We need to focus on getting signed to the club. He needs to offered a sum which is attractive to him but ensures that he retains his hunger to improve and score goals.
Hopefully we will one day have a very big player on the books.
That's a good shout Alouion, it's been rumoured before that England duty sees the younger lads at less fashionable clubs being preyed upon by the senior lads. Best to keep him away.
Although I'm sure that the same happens with Sterling etc in the U21s. He just signed a £40k a week deal, did he not? And Berahino has already been better than he has been.
Steve Clarke has said he doesn't think Berahino's ready for England yet and his opinion's good enough for me. When he's got a full PL season and 20 goals under his belt, then we'll see.
"There is no point in selecting the likes of Lampard, Milner and Welbeck now"
There is a world cup in 7 months. Now is not the time to start anew, that is AFTER a big competition.

I disagree 100%. One single injury to a key player - say Wayne Rooney - and England will be forced into doing one of two things:
1. Changing formation, with no time to bed the new system in, or
2. Bring in someone new to the role, potentially with limited experience at international level.
If you groom replacements now, with 6 games left to prepare, then an injury to a key player doesn't have to be the death knell to England's World Cup hopes, as it has been in past years.
