A Yaya Toure and Gareth Bale would be perfect
I know the odds are minimal, but I would like to see us go big in January, bring in one or two star names to see us push top 4 right to the end.
I would go for Axel Witsel as an absolute must have - a totally complete midfielder in my eyes.
If money is spare after that, I would love to see a bid for either Xherdan Shaquiri or Javier Pastore. Both are quality players that seem to be getting limited play time at their respective clubs.
Whilst I am aware this won't happen, its nice to dream isn't it? If we are still at the top end of the table, why can't we sign someone big to keep us up there and inspire teammates to up their game, like Ozil did to Arsenal?
West...I don't think its I conceivable that we can get one top top player, I am sure lfc scouts alreacy have players lined up. I get the impression br likes to do his business as early as possible.
You've spent quite a lot of money recently considering you've not been in CL or even in Europe some seasons. Spent a lot in summer too.
Doubt very much you'll be in the market again so soon. For BIG signings anyway.
Stretford......I wouldn't be so sure on that. FSG know supplementing a squad with top players works, they have history in this.
Yeah Joe Allen being proof of this history.
Nothing wrong with allen, unfortunately hes been Injured quite a lot thats all. Hes back now tho, just in time to keep that gap going between lfc and utd
Joe Allen is average and cost £15m.
What is the history of FSG supplementing the team with top players?
Sakho...coutinho....suarezfor lfc and fsg certainly splash the cash in baseball terms.
So Suarez then. And even then he wasn't quite a top player at the time, hence why he ended up at Liverpool.

Whereas your signings are going great. Thankfully for you lot, Fellani got injured

Coutinho and Sakho are not top players. They were bench warmers with potential.
Our midfield is;
Gerrard
Allen
Hendo
Coutinho
Lucas
Alberto
now if we bring in say pastore and witsel for example, isnt that too many? BR plays a 3 and we would have 8!!
I still think a player like Benteke would be good

Ok. So a French international with considerable experience of top level football is potential. Right. If you don't rate him then fine, but Sakho isn't potential he's first team material. Personally I'd pair him with Agger because in theory that is a great partnership.
I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool had a big bid in them, the money they bid for Miki and Costa wasn't spent elsewhere, in fact a loan for Moses shows they were keeping their powder dry. It's certainly possible if the right player were available. Shaqiri would be great in my opinion if a little unlikely.
The Egyptian who plays for Basel.
We spent feck all in the summer
S American, Spanish anyone have any Ideas?
