Dembele has had plenty more than 1 bad game, and the team hasn't progressed at all since August.

how were we bad, krul man of the match tells the story!

It took a very lucky and plucky performance from them and their keeper to deny us any points.
12 saves in a match that is incredible, but we also hit the crossbar, and had an incredible clearance to deny us the win.
Sometimes, in football, it can happen.
You just need to get over it. At least, we did perform in the 2nd half, and actually Sandro showed gutsy showing, and Kaboul was awesome too.
Also, this is a good time to get the house in order.
This game actually showed us where we need to change the tactics and players.
Two upfront, a paring, is a necessity these days.
So is, the winger staying wide and not always cutting is but crossing more.
Well done to Newcastle, however, their problem is they never perform well, against the "lesser" teams, like Liverpool and below in last season's table.
Your next 2 games are it'd and city, and to be honest score once past you Nd it's game over, I can see a fall down the league, and to be honest you style of hoof ball deserves to be mid table
in last season's table.
....
Like i say a better performance in the second half, but if AVB told them to increase the tempo and play better then why does he never start us like this. The main problem is we havent improved since August
Another bad result and the same old names on here spit your dummy out, back to school on Monday boys.

I knew alot of our fans and no doubt our manager would hide behind Krul making a couple good saves
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This.
We lost because we were crap. That simple.
The first half we were awful. Second half saw more tempo and invention but all the loose balls fell kindly to Newcastle and their keeper pulled off some great saves.
Dembele, however has been poor for most of his Spurs career. Last season he was carrying an injury but what's his excuse this season. He continually gives the ball to the opposition either by sloppy passing or getting caught in possession and robbed.
Sandy
i agree with sandro, he has been a rock all the games he has played and with vertonghen are the only players that should start without fail.
Townsend was dreadful but has played well this season and is young so i feel you've been slightly harsh on saying hes holding this team back.
Dembele and Paulinho do not work well in midfield together, both ball carriers that are weak in the tackle, do not score, assist or create.
Sandro has to be our first choice CM every game, he is our midfield enforcer and ball recoverer.
AVB seems to pick players for the PL that do well (mainly in lesser games against poor opposition), rather than picking his best players.
I think he is scared to drop players that have a good game , wanting to show that if players do well then they stay in the team.
Not starting Sandro and Kaboul, and starting Siggurrdsson being prime examples.
In my opinion you should pick your best 11 fit players to win a game, and that includes Sandro and Kaboul certainly. Or maybe AVB does not know his best team.
We finally have a PL game at home where despite not playing great we at least created plenty of chances and although Krul played very well our finishing was poor.
The frustration is now happening on a regular basis and our league position looks comforting but is an erroneous perception of reality. AVB does not seem to be able to see that playing inverted wingers at home to teams that park the bus does not work for us.
Our weakest players today imo were Siggy, Eriksen and Dembele. They gave the ball away nearly every time they had it. The team as a whole are not fluid enough on the ball and like I said above our finishing was not good enough.
The pressure on AVB and the players is increasing, the natives grow restless. Defeat in our next two matches v Man City and Utd and the knives will be out for our young manager.

I think if we lose our next 2 matches to the manchester clubs we should say goodbye to AVB.
This is a fantastic group of players currently at tottenham. losing a game like today isnt criminal. constantly playin rubbish with the players available is criminal.
I have never been so bored or frustrated watchin spurs and our style of play is down to the manager.
As much as i dislike ade the man, ade the footballer is tailor made for the lone striker role. Yet cant get on our bench?
Lamela overlooked for townsend/siggi/eriksen... really? Hes not gona gain confidence watchin from the bench.
AVB you are worrying me....
We have a great squad, but what's the point if you don't play your best players in the PL. Inexcusable team selection for me. Pardew must have loved it when he saw no Sandro, Kaboul, Lloris, Lennon or Lamela.
It's no coincidence that our attacking play has looked poor all season. Can't always be the players not performing, it's the system not allowing them to play well yet AVB is too stupid/stubborn to see this
Is AVB our weakest link?
The squad we have surely can be used in a more positive and productive way. We have players with pace but he persists with the inverted wing formation which negates this advantage and isolates our lone striker as the opposition are always given time to regroup and deal with our attacks.
This more than anything is his biggest mistake. He has made us more solid but the price of that is to make us too blunt in attack.
you mean you watched our game today lionel ?
no one else on i suppose
There's no excuse for spending £70m on the attacking players we've bought and looking do shocking going forward. The goalscoring stat and lack of clear cut chances created is appalling, and this blame lies solely with AVB.
Park lane....
In short YES Avb is def currently our weakest link.
missing good chances is not his fault BUT our playing style is.
Ive been following spurs properly since 89/90 and i have seen much worse players and spurs sides play alot better than this.
Cant believe im writing this but i wouldnt be upset at all with darth levy if he decided avb wasnt the man to take this talented squad forward.
