Soldado. Need a reliable penalty taker
To be honest, shocked at how poor Soldado has been.
Watched Spurs a lot, most recently at Newcastle, and just offers nothing. Stands by a CB and waits for 'service'.
I know it's early, but I have a feeling he'll be a big flop. May go back to Spain in the summer with his tail between his legs.
Giroud is pretty shambolic too, but at least he gets an occassional tap in and assist.
To be honest, shocked at how poor Soldado has been.
-----------------------------
You can't blame him. For all the hype and talk, Spurs creativity has been awful. He's had no service at all. His movement is great, he keeps hold of the ball, and he is a decent finisher.
If Arsenal had Soldado, we'll be top, but by 7 points.
26mil striker that only scpres from service :/
Another player Serial hasn't watched, yet feels he can comment on.
His movement is shocking. Just stands by a defender for ages waiting for the ball.
RVP on Sunday gave a masterclass in how a front man should play.
I personally think Loldado is still getting used to the PL. Some times it takes a season to come good. The problem is Loldado is 28 and will be turning 29 soon. If he turns good spurs will probably get 1 or 2 good seasons out of him which is not good value for cash considering they splunked 26Mil on him.
You would rather have 'Mr 1 Goal from Open Play'?
Head has gone.

Well Spurs have been the most televised team this season. Of course i've seen him play.
Just admit it though - you've probably watched about 90 minutes of him, and that was vs us.
RVP on Sunday gave a masterclass in how a front man should play.
---------------------------------------
Barring the header, RVP didn't do anything. If anything, Rooney completely outshone him with his workrate and movement.
Soldado is a good player, but in the middle of a poor team selection from AVB
Serial is one of the most clueless people on football. Wouldn't take his opinion serious. Giroud is miles ahead of soldado

Go watch the game again.
RVP constantly drifts around the defense, and drags the CB's all over the shop. Do you think it's luck he always seems to be in the right place to receive a pass?
Then go watch Soldado vs Newcastle. Just stands there for 5 minutes until the ball comes near him

Nope, he's been on a few Sky games already. I like him. He's very decent and holds the ball up very well.
But if a striker is forced to feed off the scaps from Townsends continual 35 yard shots, there's only so much he can do.
Giroud is less carp AT THE MINUTE but if we were comparing both respective first seasons... I couldn't decide I'd say Soldado is better through past achievements no average player gets into that Spanish squad either

LOL. Good answer
The was crap on Sunday but yeah got a good goal.

------------------------------------
Beg your pardon, but you mentioned Sunday only. And i disagreed on his performance, on Sunday. Verm and Kosc did well, barring the lapse on the corner.
But yeah, generally RVP is a qualtity striker. Not denying that.
Sally would get better from our midfield. Far better than the crap he has to contend with. Giroud is simply not good enough. He is spurs level.
Even Spurs fans will reluctantly agree that Giroud is better
It's so easy for people to watch a 90 minute game of football, take the fact the striker didn't have any one on ones with the GK and then deduce "no service"
For me, if you look at someone like Sturridge, who many don't rate, he shows what it's all about in terms of positioning, off the ball movement, and running off the defence. It's not luck he scores 'tap ins' - it's a well drilled understanding of how to find space and time in the area.
Something Soldado hasn't shown yet - perhaps he just needs to get to know the league.
If we had Sturridge, We would be top by 8 points
Even that lot are fed up with him...............
