My belief is that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.
--------------
I don't know the ins and outs of the Kennedy assassination. I've the seen the footgae of course.
One thing I will say is that official stories are usually always bogus.
When the accused is killed before trial then questions will always be asked.
Personal view - the accuracy of the shot and the circumstances lead me to believe that this was a well planned execution.
... carried out by a party and not an individual
what about the death of marilyn monroe??
there was a lot about JFK that wasnt all above board.
For some reason, I'm not surprised you think it might have been more metro

to be honest, polls suggest most Americans believe there's a cover-up
Mind you, Americans love a good conspiracy

One thing we do know about lee Harvey Oswald for sure is that his shooting records in the marines was outstanding and he tried to assassinate Edwin Walker earlier in the year.
I have seen documentaries that have used forensic technology that concluded that the "smoking gun shot" ie the fatal shot that people believe came from the grassy knoll could in fact not have come from the grassy knoll and only from behind.
Very true. Polls suggest most Americans think Jesus was born there too though!
I get the feeling we're going to line up on the same sides as the 9/11 thread.
What about the MI5 man found dead locked inside a holdall who the police believe killed himself even though he doesn't appear to have touched the lock. I've got a few doubts about that one

To be fair - about 700 of the 1000 comments were sensible. Was a very good thread.
I believe that he was assassinated by someone else.
The whole Oswald/Jack Ruby thing just doesn't add up to me, plus the enquiry was flawed.
Who was behind it I have no idea and I am not generally a conspiracy theorist but this one just smacks of cover up to me.

That was an experiment gone wrong.
He was trying to find a way of getting onto a Ryanair flight without being surcharged.

This is important information but then again, the 9/11 hijackers were apparently terrible pilots.
I think the best conclusions can be made from the events/aftermath of the assassination.

JFK's been shot?????
Seriously though I have never studied it and only really have Costner's film to go on which I presume was based around the facts?!?
Good film that was actually
as a kid, i was intrigued by the conspiracy theories, but as i've gotten older, i'm afraid it all points to Lee Harvey Oswald.
As much as i wanted to believe in a conspiracy.
One fact is just before he was caught at the cinema, he shot Officer tippet, dead, when he tried to stop him and ask questions. such was Oswalds paranoia, and this is irrefutable fact.
He killed a Police officer. If he was innocent, why did he run and kill again?
The magic bullet theory, was proven to be plausible, and reconstruction shows, Kennedy and senator Connally were in line with the bullet.
An Amazing feat by one man, reeling off 3 precise shots on a moving target. Bolt Action as well...
but my conspiracy theory days with JFK are well and truly over..
Now the Moon Landings on the other hand?!!
Critics claim that a bullet that passed through several layers of clothing and flesh, destroyed a five inch (127 mm) section of a rib, broke a wrist radius bone, and shed metal fragments (some of which are buried with Connally) could not be in such nearly pristine condition

I have seen many ballistics experts state that it was anything but pristine condition

I know I thought wtf when I heard the verdict on this one!
I would comfortably say that 50% of conspiracies (sensible ones) do have some weight!!
If he was innocent, why did he run and kill again?
------
Lets say hypothetically that this was a cover-up and those responsible were going to use LHO as the blame guy.
Do you think he would have gotten away with anything?
The conspiracy evidence is, as with most 'conspiracies', dubious and flawed and defies simple reasoning.
Now the Moon Landings on the other hand?!!

I've always wondered why Buzz Aldrin punched that guy (Bart Sebrel) who asked him to swear that he'd been to the moon. If he had been, why didn't he just answer the question?
