For example one map you can blow up a damn and flood the whole map drowning tanks at the same time

If i had more gaming time i would get it - but as someone who loves the BF series i can tell you this is more 3.5 than 4 so cant justify it at the moment - will wait for gold with all the map packs, but hey its every 2 years still and not every year like that pile of $hit that CoD has turned into.

Yeh but guess what - the map packs are totally new, and not recycled from the a game that is 5 years old just re textured, and add new weapons and game play mods...........but whats that you tell me CoD doesnt have DLC........................ :P

Sorry could you tell me some of these AAA games that dont sell map packs. Cos recently all i can think of is CoD and BF both which sell DLC be it for weapons, maps or player items. Even going across to PC exclusives that arent FPS you have WoW with expansions every year, and this is the same for all the big MMOs. StarCraft, ARMA, GTA. If you can find me one series that doesnt milk people let me know

And the whole basis of triple A is milking it off their fans which is why it's funny when you see snobbery from BF fans towards COD fans when their game is just as bad

Just as bad? 3 titles a year for a mediocre FPS that hasnt changed for the last 3/4 iterations? One which has DLC for all these games and reuses old maps? Verses another title that has 2 games released over 2 years and an additional 16 maps, game modes, and weapons added over the 2 years for £20 more or less doubling the size of the game that at release had more maps, game mods or weapons than an previous versions of BF? Ok.................

And what is that you cant name any games PC or console that dont milk their customers with DLC and expansions?

Battlefield is the exact same, just because it has gimmicky "HD textures" and "HD sounds" and "cool exploding walls" which could be done on Half Life 1 maps doesn't make Battlefield any less of a £40 map than CoD

Just bored of COD, I prefered MW2/3, hate Treyarch

Battlefield isn't that much better, it's a bit one dimensional, and get's boring after a while
