Hector, for the quality he possesses, Coutinho s a bargain. Comparing the expenditure of the SPL to the EPL is pointless.

It's not our fault you lose your best players to Norwich and a collection of Championship sides for a pittance. Get back to day dreaming that Celtic one day may be allowed to join the English league, instead on focussing so hard on LFC. I understand that that the football served up in Scotland is dire, but the constant bleating about joining a superior league has become tiresome. You're not wanted.

Paisley

WTF! talk about going off on a tangent!

Your arrogance is hilarious considering you follow a mid-table team that has spend 100's of millions on no-marks to achieve...eh...nothing!

Maybe we should apply to join the SPL instead then and win everything every year?

Thanks for Wisdom lads, he's a class act but someone should buy him a sat-nav that works.

You may be 2nd just now, but you know and I know when the big boys get going it will be Europa for you again.

posted on 17/11/13

Neither of us know anything like that.

posted on 17/11/13

Hector, you say again as if they are good enough to qualify for the Europa every year. That's their holy grail right now!!!

posted on 17/11/13

Plus, who's to say anyone will "get going"? Everyone is throwing away points for fun.

posted on 17/11/13

True, United look like favourites to qualify for that at the moment.

Hector whilst it's true that Sterling came from QPR at what point in your opinion does a player become our youth product? We signed him when he was just 15 years old so he still had/has plenty more developing to come.

With the all the big boys bar Arsenal experiencing managerial transition, Liverpool SHOULD be capitalizing, it's been interesting to watch. Still cannot see you getting a CL place.

Fabio, we're the longest unbeaten team in England. You are 3 points ahead of us. You haven't been to old Trafford yet. You lose there every time you play us. Your losing at the home of the champions is the only consistency you've shown since 2009!

Welsh

Fair comment.

You did pay £600,000 for him though, which could rise to £5 million which is not exactly breeding your own.

It's definitely our best chance for a while. If we're still in the top four at the turn of the year then we will have an excellent chance. If we can keep up this average of approximately two points a game until the end of the season then we would be there.

posted on 17/11/13

Just because we've lost the last four league meetings there, that doesn't have any bearing on the outcome this season. Just like we've lost the last five at Tottenham, doesn't mean we will lose there in a few weeks.

Anything could happen this year.

Benjy has done well so far, I just don't think you are good enough throughout your squad to get back to where you should be.
Although my initial comments where mainly for the teasing, I think Liverpool are lacking in the 'playing for the jersey' players. The players that maybe a little limited but fight for everything.

I'd say we've got a fair few fighters in our team.

Who?

posted on 17/11/13

I'd say our biggest fighters are Suarez, Henderson, Lucas, Gerrard and Enrique.

Enrique is a beast

Enrique isn't a fighter.

posted on 17/11/13

When Enrique loses the ball, he will stop at nothing until he has won it back again. Seen him do that so many times.

"Enrique isn't a fighter."

good job, he'd get a lot of red cards if he was
