REDUCED TICKETS

It's a fine line trying to sell tickets and not upsetting the season card holder.

I've bought 2 this morning for the Burnley game for friends who aren't Season Card holders.

Everyone moaned about the Leeds game being £29 but now they have the chance to watch the following 3 games for just £23
Brum £5
Burnley £5
Reading £13

I never used to mind non season ticket holders enjoying cheap/proper prices when i had a season ticket, Didnt bother me whatsoever, The cheap seats were not for my seat.

I will be going to the Burnley game, I went tthe Brum game, And i wll probably end up going to the Reading game,,,,,,,, Shame we dont have an unreserved Kilner bank where season ticket holders could get in early and sit with their pay on the day non season ticket buddys,,,,,, tbh the Leed game was tenner too much, Just as the Brum n Burnley games are a fiver under priced, imo.

It doesn't really bother me that much because I attend every home game and get full value out of the card.
Mitzi however lives far away and misses midweek games, these offers make you think if it's worth paying for a season card if you miss 3 or 4 games as it becomes just as cheap to pay on the day with these offers. So rather than encouraging support in some cases it works the other way

I do get where you are coming from,,, I was tempted to get a ten game tkt,, Glad i didnt now,,, Indeed i think i have only paid full whack for one home game and Barnsley away, Missed Leeds, Bmuff and a couple of other home games,, Away days are too dear at the mo too,,,,,,, Sadly i dont think these offers will add to the attendance too much,, Not while they are hidden away in the local rag, ,,,,,,,, Should be on the front or back page in a little eye catching advert,,, Not everybody recieves emails ad nor do they read the Town section in the paper,,,, fair play Town for trying to get a few more in the ground.

more special offers...rec'd email at 3am offering £6 for town v burnley...200 tickets available..

snaffled up two tickets...at that price it's just about worth it...if only to watch the league leaders..

and scotty arfield, a town reject...

fair do's to town, they've listened to the fans...as far as ticket prices are concerned...no point having all them empty seats...it will upset the SC holders tho' if it continues, but i'm sure most would be happy to see the stadium with 16,000 rather than 13,500 in it...and over a full season the SC holders are still quids in I reckon (as they should be)...

I might have bought a pick n mix package if it had been available to me, and it wasn't priced as it has been..glad i didn't now..

up the Terriers !!

I've mentioned the SC savings elsewhere Jacko, last year I saved £130 which means it's well worth buying.

The club need to up the marketing campaign, while sending emails out is effectively a cheap option they also limit the market. They need to put these offers in place well in advance, publish them in the previous match programme, stick posters up around the ground so that those that attend see the offers, flash the offer up on the big screen....make sure everybody in the ground knows!
Just 700 people took up the offer against Birmingham, we need to be turning that figure into 7000 but with a half baked marketing plan like they keep on doing they have no chance.

Wakey, I'm not sure town think up these schemes far enough in advance to be able to promote them properly. The randomness and sudden deluge seem to be more of a knee jerk reaction than a thought out strategy.

I'm sure as time goes by they will develop a more structured approach though and maybe target a wider audience ? If we could get Darn to act as match day choreographer that might help too

Good to see Town making an effort. Is it just to curry favour or are they so bad at marketing? It does sound like it hasn't been planned very well. If more people knew of the reduced pricing, then more fans are likely to turn up.

'Build it and they will come.'
