Definitely need a win to get the confidence back. I'm hoping both Boro's go home with nothing on Saturday, although the one Leeds are playing really should be known as 'Brough' as was pointed out on your match articles from last season

Alright ThorneyPosh. Love these threads you do for PU, must put some effort in every week and barely any people read them.

Count it from me matey, I'll be a close follower of your threads for weeks now pal.

That's nice of you all - may your teams win this weekend, and if you don't make it back to the Premiership, may we all play each other in the Championship next season

P.S. Expecting the Wolves fans to be posting shortly.

TP you cant be nice to everyone!! Hope you do ok tomorrow, but think it will be a rare home draw.
Off to Ipswich tomorrow hope to get a point.

TF, it's nice to be nice. However, I can bite in retaliation. Home draw tomorrow? Growl

Both our teams should win tomorrow. Watch out for Paul Taylor, though! And the local fans - I went to the Posh game at Portman Road last season with my son, and my Ipswich-supporting sister and her son. We sat in the home supporters area opposite the Posh fans and a local witch asked a steward to evict me - I was, admittedly, wearing a Posh scarf and audibly supporting them. Fortunately, the steward spotted that I was essentially harmless and let me stay. The harridan, unfortunately, was able to rejoice in an Ipswich win.

Six points tomorrow, please!

Peterborough 3-1 Stevenage this weekend for me. Tomlin seems a good player and I'll be surprised if a few teams (like ourselves, Reading) don't try to snap him up in Jan.

Hope you're right about the score, LRF.

As for Tomlin, I suspect he will go although it will be a massive loss for us in the short term (this season) and longer term (next season - if we win promotion). Celtic tried unsuccessfully to buy him on the (relative) cheap at the end of the last transfer window, so Posh won't be giving him away. Reading, therefore, will need to cough up a reasonable sum to pry him away from London Road.

In the meantime, I hope he comes up with the three goals you predict for Posh this afternoon.

prise him, even ...

We do have ourselves a fair bit of money. I'd expect a bid of the region of £3M - £5M for him would be something acceptable for your level and his current contract. He'd make a real impact going forward/coming off the bench for us as we struggle to win games.

Well LRF, Tomlin played well enough today, but the giants of Stevenage playing 6-2-1 at times blocked well. Another poor result. Brentford away on Tuesday night - gulp!

You got beat 0-1 I presume? That's what the score was last time I checked. Should be beating them sides in all fairness though.

Mini crisis

posted on 23/11/13

Let's hope it is just a mini crisis. A win or draw on Tuesday night would stem the tide.

ThorneyPosh, Could I ask you to just have a quick talk on this thread for me please?

All proper clubs win promotion by losing 4 on the bounce at some point in the season! (See Leeds 2010 and Reading 2012 )

There's hope left. Tomorrow is another day.
