He's not done as well recently, but as an impact player he's good, like Lennon

He won't play Sunday, not for me, Nasri, Yaya, Fernandino, Silva and Aguero, Negredo should start

Silva is out Thudd

I reckon Milner might be playing.

Yeh impact player I agree but there were a few spurs fans saying how scared they were of Navas etc and I really think people over rate him purely because he has pace. Will be extremely difficult tommorow but we shouldn't be scared of city. Their league position currently shows they are not that amazing.

These are fair points but you shouldn't forget that City have already scored 20 goals at home! Going to the Etihad so open is suicide. We saw that first hand.

Any player with pace is a threat, Lennon and Navas are both great impact players, but City have technical players also, Nasri, Silva, Aguero, and the power of either Dzeko or Negredo,

Worried?

Yup!

I agree with Don.
Navas is a good player but he isn't that great. His final balls are actually quite poor and his finishing needs much improvement.

However, I think your lineup leaves us too open for Sunday. We need to keep it very tight and counter quickly when Sandro regains possession.

What I hate, and especially the criticism of Townsend and Lennon and others this season is the 'final ball' and it bothers me, because the chances we've had created from crosses have been lacking

And the fact we've only got Defoe and Soldado to hit in the box, neither shock me as people who will get on the end 9 times out of 10

I'd love to see another partnership like Berbatov and Keane again, a quick clever striker playing around a big, tall, silky striker who oozed class

Navas' final ball is not amazing but the attributes he has allows him to get into the positions to play the numbers game, and that in itself, for a class team at home, is a big danger.

You also have to think about how his style reflects onto the side and opens up gaps for their midfielders.

Nasri probably has a better final ball if played on the right but I think that width Navas provides allows other players to flourish in the space he creates.

Nasri has been very impressive this season, and he loves a goal against us

Aguero and Negredo worry me and as for Ya Ya

I'm more worried about City than I am United

Yeh I agree city at home are a different gravy but they have lost a lot of games this season against weak opposition. Take the game to them and they can be beat.

Yes Don, can't sit back against City of you'll get opened up like Norwich

posted on 22/11/13

Definitely more worried about City as well as Carrick is a big miss for United.

But as we all know we're better away from home so we might just pull it off!

Crazier things have happened

By the way I don't think we will win tommorow but I do thjnk they can be beaten with the right attitude and team picked.

Christ he's easily pleased!

No I don't blame you.

Big couple of games for you coming up. Lose them both, which isn't beyond the realms of possibility, and it doesn't bode well for 4th.

I reckon AVB will be cautious in this game, knowing this.

You can't play Defoe and Soldao away to City, it's suicide

Sandro has to start, along with Capoue, possibly Paulinho in front with Lamela and Townsend out wide

Soldado up top

posted on 22/11/13

Yeh we lose both then knives will be out for Avb I'm afraid. It wouldn't of been so bad if we wouldn't of dropped such pathetic points to the likes of westham and Newcastle at home but that's where we're at and we have to get something from both the Manchester teams. 4 points for me is the Minimum, anything less I won't be happy.

Carrick not playing against Spurs could either be a big miss or a blessing in disguise.

In recent games his lack of pace has been really exposed by your midfield.

If Jones and Cleverley are fit to play it could potentially put a stop to that. Problem being we then lose the control he gives us with his passing.

Double edged sword really.

I disagree Don, City are well ahead of us, we can't compete with them at the moment

United is a little easier, and we're at home, the fortress

posted on 22/11/13

Thudd, league position prove city are not "well ahead" of us mate. They are struggling at times just as we are expect we are struggling at home whilst they are away. For where we want to be we should not expect to lose tommorow but atleast get a draw and we should certainly be beating united at home.

Won't deny we cld do with him as another option....BUT.....

It's a fackin long road to win me over saaan.
