Sturridge is on the bench...
Yes because he was playing in a stupid friendly for the England team, even though he was obviously unfit!

Because his injury has prevented him from being able to start...feckwit.

He is obviously not injured. Injured players do not get named on the bench.

Studge will have wanted to play 90 minutes. They're not kids and it's not like he's shy about mentioning injuries.

De jeezus appears to be a bit mentally challenged
Meaningless? In your opinion maybe. Sure Sturridge was delighted to be involved in what must have been a massive game for him.
Comment deleted by Site Moderator
Clearly he did that's why he agreed to play
D'Jeezus, I recommend you stop being stubborn, and stop trying to stamp your opinion down as the right one, when it is clearly embarrassingly not.
Why didn't he pull out if he had a genuine injury? He has allegedly had a dead leg for 4 weeks, maybe he should have been used better by Liverpool over that time...

Obviously the amateur England physios didn't tell him/didn't know about the risks associated with playing through a dead leg, now he's had to pay the price by having faith in their advice.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He has played more for Liverpool with the dead leg, so I guess it is the Liverpool physios who are inept.

always a tricky one club v country
but for me if players cba to play in 'meaningless friendlies' then they shouldn't get selected for the big competitions either. what fans always forget is that if their player is allowed to sit out the friendlies so they can be nice and rested for the next league game, then some other club's player will be called up. as ever, the man uniteds/liverpools/chelseas et al., think that the whoe of football should be geared up to give their clubs the greatest possible advantage whilst all the other 14 or so clubs in the prem are just there to make up the numbers and do as they are told.

I suppose Danny must be insane then seeing as he chose to play against Germany

Or they told him about the risks and he still wanted to play seeing as most sane players value club football more than national football.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You have proved that there was no issue about him playing for England, as both the Liverpool medical team and Sturridge himself are well aware of the risks but chose to ignore them.
