Carrick has been great for United except one shakey period of about 18 months.

But I'm talking truly top drawer, like Fabregas, Schweinsteiger, Xavi, Alonso etc.

I don't think Carrick is quit up there with the likes of them. Probably in the category beneath them but still a very good player.

We need a world class CM and fast.

Hernandez is such an average player, decent when needing a goal, but his overall game is pretty average.
Its like playing with 10 men most of the time.

It's gonna be hard to nab a world class CM though, especially with the world cup coming up.

thats the problem but you never know we could get a relatively unknown player like evra and vidic when we signed them

so will Rooney get a ban as cant they overule it even if the ref had seen it now.

He did well for Rooney's goal but I agree, we've been playing with 10 men for most of the half. I'd get him off for a wide man and move Januzaj central. I know we're winning but Cardiff will score again of we don't change things.
