Well being as probably only 1 of them played regularly 2 seasons ago I would suggest not. Plus what's the average age of the WBA XI 29 or 30, it's as good as it gets 4 Albion.
Future very much claret & blue 😊
Erm no not really. 3 of yesterday's players were over 30 and one of them isn't a regular, so I suggest you recaluclate your averages.
Albion buy better players than Aston Villa. That is why we finish above you. It's quite simple.

Aston villa have outspent west brom by £30.7m in netspend in last season and this august transferwindow.
He seems he is on about the wages:

£70m, aston villa wage bill, west brom £50m wage bill. This is based on the 2011-12 season though up to june 30 2012.
If buying better players means Anichebe, Rosenberg, Vydra, Anelka, Sinclair, Lugano etc (with the forwards combined scoring less than Asmir Begovic) or Villa's recent signings including Benteke, Bacuna, Westwood, Luna, Vlaar, Sylla, Kozak etc then I will take the Villa signings all day long.
I don't think there is any argument who has signed the better players Lambert or Clarke.
It's as good as it gets for WBA these last two seasons.
The future is Claret & blue. 😊

Cox-in-the-box hopefully you aren't as angry as you were earlier.
Don't think there is any question Lambert's tactics in the 2nd half flummoxed Clarke and he didn 't react to the changes .
So def not the muppet last night.

Still ignoring the context of the thread
Who's spent more money since Lambert took over at Villa?

There is no question Villa's XI is worth a lot more than the Baggies now 😊

Based on the fact we drew? If you've got any logic whatsoever the only conclusion from that single result is that your squad cost more but is only worth the same amount as the Albions!

If Lambert's signings are so good, why have you been doing so badly compared to us? Benteke kept you up last season, the rest of your signings let you down.
As for Clarke's signings, you've conveniently missed out Yacob, Amalfitano, Sessegnon, Foster and Lukaku. Also, Sinclair and Vydra can't really perform if they're on the treatment table.
Your knowledge of football seems to be worse than my 12 year old daughters!
A couple of good free kicks and suddenly Bacuna has become Messi. Absolutely zero chance he is better than Jones who has been our best player this calendar year. Vlaar isn't better than Olsson, let alone McAuley. Luna is no better or worse than our left backs.
Sylla. Better than Mulumbu and Yacob. Yeah ok then.
Conveniently not considered where both teams were prior to the appointments of Clarke and Lambert?
Hodgson had done a great job, we had McCleish prior to Lambert.
During the period both managers have been in position, nobody could argue with Villa progressing nicely (every result this year the same or superior to last year) WBA going backwards (where were you this time last year?)
Lets deal in facts not fiction. Yes you are entitled to your opinion but come on cox you know the future is Claret & Blue.
PS my 4 year old lad knows more about football than some of you blinkered Baggies.
Thanks Teix just proved my argument right, with the exception of Yacob how many of the other players you refer to were made by Clarke.
WBA going backwards,
The future is claret and blue!!!!!!
Thanks for the support!

Right, so in conclusion Villa have spent more money, apparently they have signed better players, but still we agree that none of them apart from Benteke are as good as our starting XI. (who weren't signed by Clarke).
Thanks for clearing that up.

You beat me to it Tidy!
As for the comparison between McCleish & Lambert.
Didn't Lambert nearly get you relegated last season? How is that better than McCleish?
#onemanteam
You lot don't half bite 🐟. Only need gollum (jh Baggie) and it's a full set!
WBA going backwards,
As we enter 2014 Villa have not beaten WBA since 2010,
Villa in "freefall"
the muppet guided villa to a 0-0 draw with sunderland at home
