Dyche 's comments @ the end are just daft.
How deep is his voice?!! Moaning about a corner is just lame. Should be more concerned that Heaton couldn't keep out Norwoods shot despite it being in flight for a full 7 minutes....
Some of our passing was excellent, much like at Hillsborough last week. 6 points from 6 and some cracking football too. Well done Robins
Agree darn, we should have had a clear penalty in 1st half anyway...so 'justice' done I reckon.
And as for Dyche.."It was never a corner for the 1st goal"..jeez..if the go back far enough you can make any argument. Burnley had 11 men back for that corner and we scored a screamer...
As for the penalty..well that CB had been fouling Vaughan all game and got nowt from ref or lino..He got some right stick and the Town fans gave the lino some right stick too in 2nd half...so he got the jitters and caved in..but ti was ll of his own making by giving us nothing beforehand....
What goes around ..etc..
Sore losers. Just admit, you were totally outplayed by a better team on the day....and stop making excuses Burnley !

In the last 2 visits to the John Smiths Burnley were beaten last year by a goal that never crossed the line and this year although we were poor first half, The ref and his two linos made bad calls on the pen which was not, and Vokes dissallowed goal which shows on replays he was level. Im not gonna begrudge Huddersfield the victory cos they did play well first half but i feel yet again we have lost yet again to inposters called officals which leaves a bitter taste!
You're coming across as a bit of a whinger now...I know you've got used to not losing and maybe you forgotten how to be magnanimous in defeat... especially when totally outplayed.
Vokes was clearly offside and we had a clear penalty disallowed in 1st half...swings and roundabouts.

Listen im not gonna begrudge you the win cos you did play well to give your team your fair dues im not complaining about the lead up to first goal which was a good goal. It the handball call which has upset me a bit and i disagree about the dissallowed Vokes goal, but take that aside you did play well, and we were poor first half even S.D admits it.

meanwhile, Town go to Bolton, where last season we absolutely murdered them...and lost...We had 11 corners, 14 shots, 6 on target..and lost 0-1.... and slipped into the relegation zone...
Sean Dyche massively disappointed me with his behaviour on the FL show, I thought he was a decent bloke. He makes a big fuss about his line of sight for the corner but then negates to mention he didnt have line of sight for the penalty decision which he was certain about (even though he couldnt see it!!!).
He needs to grow up as he came across as a very bad loser and given we hammered Burnley and they only scored due to a total gift of a backpass we more than deserved the win.
I havent seen forwards offside more often then Burnley's were, Vokes was 2 yards off for his "goal", he was level with my seat when the ball was played so I saw it clearly.
We should have had a penalty in the first half for that handball but I do accept the second one I wasnt sure about at the time but the lino was very clear so thats the way things go. I think Burnley could have had a second man sent off for violent conduct after they scored so all in all they probably shouldnt complain too much.
The ref gave every 50/50 to Burnley and almost every decision we got was from one of the linos so if the ref was biased it wasnt in our favour!!! He also was overly fussy over where we placed every freekick but then let burnley take 5 or 10 yards at times.
I can see why they are near the top as they can counter very well and its a potent forward line (aslong as they learn the offside rules) and before Saturday I would have been delighted had they won the league but after the very poor sportsmanship shown during and after the game I hope they stay down.

We could easily been at least 2 up by half time with Patersons header and that horrendous miss by Vaughan..but that would just have given Burnley longer to take advantage of our negativity because we definately took our foot off the gas after our 2nd goal..
I wish we wouldn't do that, but if we do then can we have a really pacey forward we can launch an out ball to..?

Did Ward actually do anything when he came on? I personally would have put Scannell on as he can hold the ball up better so some of those we tried with Vaughan could have been a bit more successful and wound the clock down a bit more stress free!
I have to say that Smithies made one of the best saves I have seen him make in ages. He made the odd mistake but all in all was solid and not at fault for their goal. He is a confidence player so hopefully that will have done him the world of good.
I have to say Smith was fantastic and is now a starting player, he has the maturity of someone 10 years his senior and he is going to be a key player going forward. If I were Gerarrd I would be worried when Clarke is back to fitness as he will lose his place at this rate.
I personally thought Vaughan looked a little off the pace, his shot first half was fantastic but made looked like he was lacking a bit of confidence. Hopefully the penalty will have done him the world of good after missing the last one and he will be back to his best soon enough
I agree about Scannell...Ward was a complete waste of space...and his attempts at winning headers when he can't jump more than 2" off the ground were laughable.
I fear we are going to lose Scannell, and end up keeping Ward though...as I also fear I new found solidarity in defence will be scuppered when PC returns and creates his usual havoc on the back line.
Tom Smith is doing great, but once PC gets into his lughole he'll go the same way our Jack went...totally losing confidence...
Anyway, mustn't grumble...a great 3 points and a good performance for most of the game..
We owe Bolton one now after mullering them last season , but lost 0-1.
