We'll be lucky to get the .4 back.

He has been given chances and not taken them. Not sure what he has to be unhappy about other than his own form

You mean somebody else was interested in him?

Would be surprised if we get a fee above £400k.

Will be a loan first wouldn't it?

Would guess we would get around 800,000 to a mill based on age and the fact other clubs are apparently keen.

Good luck to him, bust his ass in the summer and clearly is a player that needs game time rather than fits and starts, like many many players.
Its just not gonna happen here given the players we have ahead of him.

Poor lamb my heart bleeds for him.

posted on 29/11/13

Doesn't have to bleed for him, but your brain(not yours personally) just has to acknowledge the position he finds himself in.

Normally players who start out as subs get an opportunity because those ahead of them are struggling, Doyle and Griffiths are not struggling so thats two spots he shouldn't be getting.

Then add to that the fact he was the ''winger'' as we had no other options, he isn't in the same class as either Jacobs or Henry as a winger, or even Zeli Ismail in much the same way as Doyle or Griffiths wouldn't be.

So ultimately, unless we get an injury or two he will not get a chance, he wants to play rather than just take the cash, so he deserves absolutely none of the stupid comments from posters above.
Its not working, the end, he wants to move on to play, excellent news, lets cash in and move on, its the best thing for both parties.

Just seems like the latest Solbakken signing that doesn’t have the right attitude to me.

Doumbia running off crying that he’s tired, Peszko refusing to travel if he was only going to be a sub, Margaret slagging off the rest of the squad now Sig getting his agent to agitate for a move.

I’ve given Sako the benefit of the doubt with his Forestites but if you included him you’d only have the tissue paper muscled winger left and he’s had nothing to complain about so far as he’s done nothing.

One simple answer to you not playing Sig – get better at your job.

His attitude was faultless throughout the summer, stayed here rather than go home, turned up at six am each morning to run his 5k or whatever it was, even beating Daley to the gym was the quip i believe.

Knocked back Iceland to concentrate on his Wolves career as well, so absolutely nothing wrong with his attitude.

He wants to play, isn't likely to get a chance, has clubs from various countries keen on him and who knows what he thinks of life in the UK generally.

KJ said earlier in the year he deserves a run in the team in his preffered position, but it did not happen because we have two good players ahead of him there, maybe his head dropped a little lately because his form has noticeably dropped off, but early season he was doing well and was one of our best players last season as well.

Some players need to play a run of games to show what they have, when he has played consistant games he has delivered more than enough, now he doesn't get those consistant runs he shows little.

So for both parties, lets move him on.

I think that ultimately he will go back to Iceland.

After all, they normally take on extra staff in the run-up to Christmas.

Sigurdarson has had a fair number of chances to make an impression in the first team and those chances completely passed him by. Why on earth would a manager give him more chances when he has made no impression at all in the games he has started and come on as sub.

Jackett has demonstrated that he is keen to rest Griffiths or Doyle particularly after they have been away for international matches but such has been the poor performances of Siggy he has stopped doing that. Also he has expressed a wish to bring on fresh legs particularly up front towards the end of games. Again Siggy has shown he is incapable of coming on and making any impression.

And now we have arrived at the point where Cassidy, himself hardly doing brilliantly, is making more of an impression than Siggy. We are in the business of getting promotion, not giving extended chances to players that are doing nothing in occasional chances.

He has not been playing out of position of the wing, because that is where has often looked a much better player than up front where his lack of movement off the ball has meant that I could mark him out of a game.

Siggy at £2.4m has been an extremely poor buy as was every one of Solbakken's signings apart from Sako. That is nothing to do with any bias against Solbakken its just a stone cold fact that 3/4 of the £13m Solbakken spent was a waste of money. And I have already offered you a bet cinci that Sigurdarson will bring in for us less than a quarter of what we paid for him so if you think we will get in £800k to £1m heres your chance to make some cash in 2014.

First of all, i agree he shouldn't be just given games for the hell of it, as i said above, he will not get a chance til we get injuries and rightly so.

Secondly he has failed to do it for 2 months, no longer than that as Kenny himself had said he deserves a chance for his performances at that time, also saying he deserves a chance in his favoured position, striker.
So both Kenny and I must be talking cráp

As for a fee, it would be a foolish bet as he will likely leave on loan, and then who knows what happens after that, if he has a good loan spell his price will stabilise, if he goes away and just warms a bench his value will slowly drop.

I think that ultimately he will be reunited with Solbakken at FC Copenhagen.

I can see the headline now...

"Stale Smells Success With Electric Siggy"

posted on 29/11/13

If he has even a quarter of the impact Solbakken has had since returning to Copenhagen he will be worth 10 million quid in a few months

posted on 29/11/13

I very much doubt Solbakken’s effect on Copenhagen is worth £40m.

What do you get for winning the Orn Desh Born Der Ritt De Gitt Der Gue Orn Desh Dee Born Desh De Umn League?

posted on 29/11/13

In fact it may be more than that, his results in europe alone will have elivated Danish footballs standing in the eyes of UEFA, as with last time, Denmark gained huge ranking points because of him.

And if he continues on the current form in Denmark they will become champions and earn a small fortune from competing in the champions league again next season.

It's true that he has had a truly remarkable effect on Copenhagen's fortunes.

Perhaps the only person that have come close to matching his achievements would be Neil Lennon in the "one horse race" Scottish League.

posted on 29/11/13

That may well be true but after his performance with us winning a one horse race must be seen as some sort of redemption!

I’d have backed him to head off in completely the wrong direction and end up trampling three members of the crowd to death if you’d asked me!

Kenny said he deserved a chance and he gave him some chances - and he was hopeless. So while I agree you are talking crap that does not apply to him. But keep using the self pitying lines if it make you feel better.

As for the fee it is what it is. You think we can get at least £800k I think we will get well less than half that. So now you are hedging your bets by saying he might go somewhere else on loan and be a failure there too?

As for Solbakken he is doing what he has already done and winning games in a low standard league and getting one decent result a season in the Champions League. So as he didn't prove good enough last time in the more challenging leagues of Germany and England I am sure nothing has changed to improve his references. He is best staying where he is and getting the biggest team in Denmark to do well in their league

Is there another term for beating one quarter finalist and drawing with another

Thats right DJ, The substandard Danish league, tell me, how did one of the champos best sides get on against FC computer club yesterday?
I have a feeling they wouldn't beat any of last years quarter finalists, but of course, your nonsensical argument makes more sense based on 26 games with us doesn't it
