AVB is WOUND UP

posted on 29/11/13

Scary thing is he'll probably be sacked by Monday morning if they lose to United

posted on 29/11/13

Lets hope the Utd fans sing, "you're getting sacked in the morning".

Tottenham fans will probably join in after they've finished booing him

Man when the press want his head they really go for it. It's staggering. AVB does this he's petulant, Jose consigns a referee into retirement and he's 'a bit of a character'

posted on 29/11/13

This is petulant . What's AVB going to do when there is more than 1 person singing it?

Pushing it a bit far to say Jose pushed a referee into retirement, unless he held a gun to the head of the idiots who sent the offending items.

JTHT, that was an exaggerated example for comedic effect. But basically the only difference between Mourinho and individuals like AVB & Benitez is a way with words. I've always appreciated AVB's bluntness, people like Mourinho I can never trust completely.

Too blunt for his own good?

He seems like he lacks self confidence.
Very easy to upset him and take things to heart very easily.

With the way he's going, he wont last long in the game. Look at the stick/crticism Wenger has been taking.

He is a boy competing in a mans world (and being judged as such by most) in managerial terms, so that's understandable.

He's inability to handle pressure is a serious problem, won't argue with you on that.

So what do you suggest for him..? A stint back in Portugal maybe?

If I was him I'd have personally gone back to Portugal and started again (i.e. joined the first top tier job available there) once my severance clause with Chelsea expired. I never would've had the nerve to join Tottenham after that Chelsea experience.

Knowing him, if he gets the chop at Spurs, he'll take the next available job in the PL. I get the impression he's gunna hang around until he proves himself in England, stubborn fool that he is.

i was thinking that too.
he needs to go back to portugal
build himself back up there and if he is really a student of the game, he'll have no trouble doing that.
he's on a hiding to nothing with the media here. the same issues will keep on haunting him if he stays in the premier leauge plus he's too prickly
