As a Chelsea fan with no particualr fondness towards AVB i am on his side on this one.....the Daily Mail did a total hatchet job on him this week....

They are quite happy to give Moyes time but not AVB ...........really what manager could bed in so many news players in the space of 13 games
I wanted AVB out of Chelsea, but he has a massive raw deal in the media

the truth is the press do have in for AVB.
Sadly for AVB, he thinks he can win by fighting fire with fire.
Unless he fergie and he can ban them, and keep winning, it won't end well.

Hmm manager of an under fire team trying to create a "them and us" siege mentality in the media?
Never seen that one done before....
But his success at Porto is a bit like Celtic and the mail made the point. He has a chance at two major UK teams why? That said it's was going to hard losing bale and will take time to bed in all those players.
