Another attempt to make him English.
It's all political
Congrats Adnan
YSPOTY 2013
First of many
about time a utd player was recognised by the bbc
well done adnan...
No point even voting. Just give him the award and carry on.
Is he up for a Knighthood as well?
It would be a waste of everyone's time to drag this one out till the actual awards night.

Not until he fully declares for England
Adnan, the saviour of English football.
Winning the 2018 WC should not be out of the question
Best English striker since Alan Shearer.
Messi was never shortlisted nor did he ever win YSPOTY
Adnan > Messi
Or scored twice against Sunderland
If Messi was so good, surely he would have played for Manchester United?
It is indeed the benchmark that all players are judged
It should end any debate.
Ronaldo > Messi
Adnan > Messi
Anderson > Yaya
Cleverley > Wilshere
Cant see any argument there
How does the shortlist get decided?
"The shortlist was compiled from the nominations by a panel of judges including Olympic triathletes Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee, 2001 Young Sports Personality winner Amy Spencer, BBC Radio 1's Tina Daheley, Blue Peter and MOTD Kickabout presenter Radzi Chinyanganya and Blue Peter Sport Champion Daniel Allen."

Bebe > Aguero
where's Ashley in this? He's probably the only one qualified for the award.

Someone just had to take it too far
Adnan has hardly played for the first team. Yes, they may take into acount he starred for the Rezzies but surely a couple of good appearances in the first team isn't anything like enough to win the award
I thought you had to be British too tbh
Maybe the Blue Peter influenced panel just focused on the word "young".
